Running Fences 4.2.2.1. A dialog from Fences popped up earlier today saying that an update has been found and would I like to download and install it. I click on "Download and Install", but the progress bar for the download never progresses beyond 0 bytes, with no error indicated. If I go to my products, I see a download link for Fences v4.23, but when I click on it, I get a message saying that "The server at cdn.stardock.us is taking too long to respond." When I check cdn.stardock.us at down

Here's a link to a short bit of video showing the flickering. While it's happening, I cannot start any program from its icon in a fence - the same program will start no problem off the start menu. As soon as I minimise any open window, the flickering stops. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mZqtfZ8A3gT5Cbx27 p.s. My desktop background is a slideshow from the images in my pictures folder, with the image changing once a minute. I

No, I don't use Deskscapes. As for your cleanboot suggestion, after looking at what is involved, I have more productive ways to spend my time, so I'll put up with the few seconds delay two or three times a day when I need to minimise one of the open windows to stop the Fences flickering and get response back.

Well, I carried out the purge and reinstall steps as detailed in your link, but the problem remained the same, so I have been putting up with it. What I have noticed since my previous post is that every time the problem happens, minimising any one of the open windows on my desktop will stop the flickering of the Fences and lack of response. The problem usually happens when I double-click on one of the icons in a Fence - the flickering of the Fences starts, and the app that I'm trying to start

Running Fences 4.0.7.2 on up-to-date Windows 11 Pro 21H2 build 22000.978. Periodically - like once every couple of days - all the fences on my desktop start flickering at a rate of about once per second, and when that happens I get no response from trying to start any of the programs in any of the fences. While this problem is happening, I can still start the same programs from the start menu without any problem, and any running programs I have continue to run normally, so the problem appears

Thanks. I followed the purge and reinstall procedure, but the problem with the blank entry when viewing Control Panel from Start10 is exactly the same as before, and as before the blank entry is not visible when viewing Control Panel from Windows Explorer. p.s. If I configure Start 10 to display Control Panel as a link instead of a menu, then the blank entry isn't there and the NVIDIA entry is in correct alphabetical order. The problem only happens when I choose to display Control Pan

Start10 1.6.1 on Win10 x64 1803. I have Control Panel configured in Start10 to display as a menu, and when the menu displays there is a blank entry there - see screenshot image at https://photos.app.goo.gl/ksPGV68zxMM2VPYJ6 . I also notice that although all the rest of the CP menu entries are in alphabetical order, the NVIDIA entry is not. If I fire up Windows Explorer and look at Control Panel through Explorer as a set of icons

Fences 3.03 on Win10 x64. I've created four fences, arranged down the RHS of the screen. For some reason, the uppermost fence has its title bar at the bottom of the fence, the other three have the title bar at the top, which is where I expect it to be. I can't see anything in the menu options for the fence or in the Customise Fences options to change the uppermost fence so that the title bar is at the top. Any suggestions?
