What's not mentioned here is this only applies to retail copies of Ultimate. If you purchased an OEM copy, or it came with a new computer, you are not eligible. Since I build my own computers, I always purchase OEM copies (or use Linux), figuring I need to provide the support myself anyway. This really does kinda hose the DIY of the computer population who want to get the rest of the family on Vista.
