I have at least some part of ObjectDesktop installed on my laptop, desktop, and my old desktop (file server)... Couldnt live without some of the 'minor' apps like DriveSpace and Object Edit!

My question, of course, would be "why is it only happening in Windows Mail"? They must be doing something non-standard in that application to cause it to just do it there. In which case, I would wait around until we can get a developer or SD support staff in here to respond.

That might be a bit of an agressive step... I'm not exactly sure where WB is even getting those lines from... Perhaps its a bizarre margin problem? Have you opened up the skins in SKS and taken a look for any common values that might be leading toward this issue, that other skins (like vStyler's) dont have?

I'm not sure now to put the WMP toolbar onto a custom toolbar... I think I've tried that before, and it just wasnt working for some reason. Perhaps its just hard-coded to only work in the one toolbar...

Hmm, that would be pretty sweet... For those that write alot of articles, it would be neat to have an RSS feed of just your articles, so that you could have it as a 'Notes' rss feed on Facebook. Perhaps an RSS feed for your personal skins page would allow for an easier app creation...
I would definintely suggest getting more ram... 1 or 2 gigs would suit you way better, and give a huge boost in performance. As JRSCCivic98 said, that system will barely run Vista...

... Woot? I agree, I like a skinned command prompt. However, the only time I ever really need the terminal/cmd for any length of time is on Linux. And its skinned fine there.
Y'all could just do what I do and never shut down or restart your computers... Definitely a bizarre problem... Are there any similarities in terms of system specifications that might be leading to this being a common problem?
I know that WindowBlinds (and SKS) are accessible via scripting, but I'm not sure to what extent they can be accessed. It seems likely that the functionality is there to remotely change skins via script, (likely substyles as well then) but until we have a chat with WBlinds/Neil about this, I dont think the details will reveal themselves.
Am I to understand that creating a system tray dock in the 'regular' way did not work for you folks? i.e. Dock Properties -> Dock Contents -> Show System Tray Icons

REDstyler, I think we've determined that WindowBlinds isnt the cause of the issue here. The updates that we've been referring to are Windows Updates. Yrag (as usual) has sound advice. Get an XP cd from a friend, run the restore, retrieve your files. (assuming your hard drive isnt a coaster)

When did you install XP on this laptop? How old is it? A service pack is a group of updates all bundled into one installer, pretty much. XP has had two service packs released, and its likely you have Service Pack 2, if you've been keeping updated properly

Whoah, unmountable root volume = bad. I'd suggest it might be hard drive corruption, or perhaps a disk crash. Do you hear any abnormal noise coming from the interior of your machine?

I agree, booting with the XP cd and/or recovery console is likely a good start. However, theres only so much we can do to troubleshoot this problem. I agree with Zubaz, this error is extremely unusual, and I would have to say that its not WindowBlinds causing this issue.
