Can't uninstall Fences 5, after boot keep getting request to continue or register in Fences Stardock Forums

I built a new PC with a new fresh Windows 11 install. After d/l Fences 5 I realized my license is for Fences 4 since the license didn't work. After d/l Fences 4 I installed it without uninstalling Fences 5. I then tried uninstalling Fences 5 from Windows setup->app->Uninstall. Nothing happened, no action was taken. Fences 4 works as expected. Now, and this is the annoying part, every time I boot up the PC, I get an large dialog box that asks m

Windows version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.978). Fully licensed. BTW, I downgraded it to an earlier version of V4.0. Don't know the version but it is the one I was running before upgrading to version 4.0.7.2. That version of Fences works, so there is a problem with the latest build 4.0.7.2.

Reply to Fences not starting at boot after last update / purge / reinstall in Fences Stardock Forums

I'm having the same problem. Fences was working great but the system crashed and had to re-install Windows 11. The symptoms is exactly the same as above. I've loaded and clean installed Version 4.0.7.2 a number of times. The Windows 11 install is a clean install with only Chrome and Thunderbird installed above all the junk Microsoft puts on the system. I've tried all the hints above and nothing is working.
