Thanks for the recent update to this to make it work with Windows 8.1, I love having my background on the Modern interface with a blur and not a fade, however its quite annoying when you go from desktop to modern interface and then to the all apps page. What happens is - normal desktop wall paper, then blurred modern interface wallpaper to a very abruptly faded all apps page (with the blurred wallpaper still being present). Is anyone else having an issue in that hitting the start button a 2nd time won't actually close the start menu?, on the Windows 8 version (1.16) if you click the start menu button it opens the menu, then if you click it again it will close it (just like in Windows 7 etc). On the Windows 8.1 version (1.17), if you click the start menu button it opens the menu, then if you click It again it won't close the menu and instead it just sort of refreshes it (very quickly opens it again)

It looks like all could be OK for how Start8 would work on 8.1, on the latest info on 8.1 it now shows that the new start button is just an always on in the bottom corner start logo and is NOT actually part of the taskbar. This means Start8 could still remain on the taskbar and remain as is, but perhaps the taskbar would need to be moved to the top of the screen instead to keep it neat (I do this already). Fixed it, I had to uninstall Start8 AND then delete all the Start8 stuff from the registry (before I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it) . After doing this and a reboot the new install has the icons back as they should be. If a mod wants to delete the thread that's fine.

As per title, before the update when hovering over "my computer", "Games" etc you would get a picture of the folder in the place of the user picture, however now I just get a blank area instead. I've tried to reinstall Start 8 but to no avail, so does anyone know how to make them come back?.

Thanks for the update and still loving the program, however 1 issue still annoys me and is still in this version. --- Half the control panel option is cut off for me (regardless of resolution) when it's at the very bottom despite having enough room for the entire box.
