Feature request: With Start8 and Windows 8 you had the option to stay inside Modern UI if closing a Modern UI App. I would prefer to have this option in Windows 8.1 with Start8. Since Windows 8.1 you will go to desktop after closing an app and it is tied to the Windows option to go directly to desktop after boot. Would it be possible to have the same options as before under Windows 8? <stro
Yes, I can confirm this. I would like to have an option as with the Startbutton behaviour unless in tablet mode. I would like to close the app and switch to Windows 8 Start if in tablet mode and to desktop if in laptop mode.
I've checked all drivers. They're all installed. I found out that the GPIO-Laptop/Slate-Indicator driver is relevant to detect the tablet/laptop state. Is there any posibility to check this value? I've read on a microsoft page that 0 is the default value = tablet mode and 1 = laptop mode. But not where you can check it. I solved the problem: Thanks Neil.

Start8 Version 1.30 had the feature to open Start8 Menu unless in tablet mode. This feature worked well on Windwos 8. But in Window 8.1 this feature doesn't work anymore on my Sony Vaio Duo 11. It only apply the rules for tablet mode. If the tablet isn't in tablet mode. Start8 opens also the Windows 8 menu.
Hello, I'm using Start8 on a Sony Vaio Duo 11, which you can use as tablet and laptop. I've selected the option to hold the Windows Key for half a second to open Windows 8 start menu from desktop. With the Windows key on the keyboard all things work fine. But if I'm using the Windows Key on my display (the Key every Windows 8 tablet has under the screen) I can't use the feature (with holding the key for half a second). Only Start8 menu will open. Could you please fix t
