Using the Win 10 & Creator Update: The Delay lag on double click is still here now about 6 seconds ... a clean reinstall using the bat file did not changed anything... Got now also the larger Folder Portal Icons on view \ list, as on 3.03 with smaller icons, as now on "Details" without the Date Modified column.
Installation on a Win 10 Eng /64bit 1709 / 16299.192 1. Asking for admin evaluation = OK 2. Than get a Icon on taskbar and nothing else... 3. right click on taskbar icon for open "Setup application" 4. get then the message box caption "irsetup" with text "Invalid start mode: archive filename" 5. terminate the setup by task manager 6. Using a multi boot with several HD's to use Win 7 or Win 10 creator update with 2 32" Samsung monitors connected to a 1060 using Display Ports. As soon updating the NVIDIA driver (without 3D crap & download update SW & tools crap) all fences gets ALWAYS placed on first monitor. A reload of saved layout do not solve the issue, this means old configuration fences are still on first monitor. Log out and log in again: All fences are still on first monitor. Now relo
The point is this: If Stardock is really willing to fix this issue, known since month, the usual way would be asking the Godfather MS & draw an incident & ask for support [e digicons]8(|[/e] ... what is not free or charge or at least they have a MSDN contract (MS Developer Net Work) what would help a lot [e digicons]k2[/e]
Well, have now Win 10 / 64 bit 1709 & 16299.19 and did the update from 3.03 (no slow double click's) to latest 3.0.5.12 with a waiting time about 5 seconds after double icon click [e classic]:([/e] [e classic]:([/e] [e classic]:([/e] Your business model since moth's, made me wondering...
As you may read on several threads, it has been reported and may development is still at the beach or working on it since Win10/1703 went out. I went back as other(s) suggested to 3.03 but have NOW the folder portals always the large icon set but can now change to the small list back again. But this requires a permanent change after boot. There was no solution given even from the support even using a clean installation... [e digicons]8(|[/e] Cheers Hp</p
Just my current workaround :D Having back the double click otherwise on MS Explorer things gets ugly too! Fast ICON opening workaround: Right click on icon to get the Popup menu... than click top "Open" menu item... [e digicons]*_*[/e] Cheers Hp

Well, just altered the double click behavior to single click (as on Taskbar) and this looks currently as a workaround... you will get a single click on the desktop icon instant of a double click Explorer / Folder Options Setup / Tab General / Click Items as follows: Single Click & Underline icon titles only when I point at them [e digicons]:rolleyes:[/e] Hp
May consider to add a Profile Portal :D
[quote who="ZubaZ" reply="14" id="3681217"] Quoting HpW4711, reply 13 If you add some OutputDebug messages (with reasonable text) to your Fences (optional on/off) and using the DebugView, this would help to trigger out where the thinking/delay happens (have to set on DebugView the timing display). I'm not
Hi, Icon QTY Test -Try to count how many icons you have on your desktop -Create a folder off the Desktop and place all of your desktop icons in it -Test -If the lag is gone, add icons back to the desktop in groups of 10 -Test noting when, and at what number of icons, the lag returns. This is may the false direction... while a double click on folder portal icon things gets FAST!. This
Hi have this on Win Creator Update too... using latest beta version... it looks like a screen resolution question hp
Yes, to switch of this feature is one solution so far :D even on 3.05 Beta.. Simple switching off Fences completely: Wow the old fast double click is back! In other words fences does some additional processing/hooking what is not required at all [e digicons]8O[/e]
using Options for View->"List !
Yes as on RED, have only the Radio Checked as you, without checked the "When I plug in a new...."
Would be grate ... as fiddle out your web site ...
This happens now often ... double click on App-Icon > Acts as hide the fences...
Sometime switch my laptop to a external 34'' monitor only and my Fences gets re-positioned = OK but should not scaled up! Please separate scaling as a option within a checkbox...
Will show no more small Icons (may a scaling issue) ... shown are mid sized icons Hp
Please add in your fences about tab some quick access web links: - Fences homepage - Fences support forum Cheers [e digicons]B)[/e] Hp
Then please add this as a suggestion on the to do list! [e digicons]:')[/e] Hp
