I had to reinstall Win 11 after the last MS update and this may have had an effect on Object Desktop. For example, Groupy, Start11, Tiles, and Fences are installed and running on my computer. But, Object Desktop shows that they can be installed. You can see this in the screen capture below. Hi Basj, Thank you for your quick response. Currently, the transparencies are back and available for adjustment so I will not purge and reinstall Fences 4, V4.0.7.2. One difference between when I reported the issue and now is that Start 11 was updated to V1.31. If there's some interaction between these programs, that might have affected the transparency of Fences. But for now, all is good! Best, Alan

I have V 4.0.7.2 of Fences installed and version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.674) of windows 11. I have lost the transparency of my fences and cannot reset them to where I like them and see the underlying desktop. This is new behavior that began recently.

While I understand the distinction between a fence and a portal I still don't understand the behavior I am seeing. Based on your reply I should be able to open a windows explorer and navigate to the folder referenced in the fences portal and I should be able to copy files to that location and they should show up in the portal but not on the desktop. You can see from the screen capture that there are many files in the portal but 7 of them are in the portal as well as on the desktop

I have a folder portal on my desktop that contains all of the files in my desktop folder. When new files are added to the desktop (or the desktop folder) the icons show up the desktop as well as in the desktop folder portal .
