I am not a 100% sure, but the issue seems to be related to mixing KVM and seamless mode. After I removed the notebook from the seamless grid, I have not observed this behavior any more just doing KVM. My setup might be a little different than usual in that both computers are attached to the same monitor, so I don't really need seamless mode.

I am having the same issues. After the notebook locks the screen and I log back in, CPU usage goes way up. Sometimes the memory usage also goes up.
