I'll bump this with a "me too". On Start8 v1.11 I find that I cannot use the "Pin to Start Menu (Start8)" functionality on Windows 8 Pro. I can use the workaround to copy a .lnk file into the C:\Users\ \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu path and the pinned item does show up on the Start8 menu.
