I just bought a new PC and this was a new install/clean install of W8 (I am not able to check with my old PC as it is already gone).

When starting the installation executable the installations stops after a few seconds. In the eventlog an entry appears as application error, showing exception code 0xc0000005, error offset 0x000029e1. The same error appears when trying to install modernmix. Any help available in this regard? Markus
