This bug actually seems to be getting worse: as now there is no city at all. However all is well when the City Details screen is viewed from the zoomed-in, animated strategic map: Here are some older screenshots I took where no post processing effects are applied to the city in the City Details screen if viewed from th
How about: Element tabs?
Love the artwork! [e digicons]:smitten:[/e] Thank you so much for reintroducing organic human creativity into the world of video game design.
I'm pretty sure Derek made some changes to this. Specifically, I think in faction creation you now get more total points but that some of the really big faction abilities cost 2 or 3 points or something.
I'll definitely be limiting my contribution in the beta forums to constructive bug reports from here on out. It appears that the game we're currently playing and the one you have in store

There is a fun ride to be to be had, if you manage to figure out how not to scratch yourself on the rough edges, how to work the handle of the bed compartment, where to find the linen, and how to turn on the nightlight.
So well put.
unfinished
^There's the word I've been looking for. This launch feels rushed, and I think a few more weeks of polish would be more beneficial to the company than a few more weeks of quarterly sales. This is of course merely an outsider's perspective, and the creatives at Stardock have already proven that they definitely deserve my confidence and support in whatever they do with this game.&n
Imo, there should be a max range from your Sovereign that the spell can be cast. 20 squares or something...
I think there should be a strategic casting distance for all spells and all champions.
I believe the custom factions are referenced by their file names, which currently are just the factions' short titles. This makes it impossible to actually have two factions of the same name, even if they are of differing allegiances, or races. The new faction you created most likely overwrote the previous one, and now all of the old faction's custom units are being automatically assigned to the new one. The file names for custom factions and the way they are disting
So you could theoretically make a lair with an adult dragon that levels up accordingly, after x turns the lair upgrades and then shows that there are now baby dragons within the lair after xx turns the lair levels again and then adolescent dragons now could stat wandering the countryside.
I would much rather have the AI be good at leaving some units home early game and also be able to employ a rush strategy against the human to force me to have to defend rather than everything be taken care of auto-magically. Having to leave a hero at home would also make the governor trait more of a viable option, as well as making scouts more of an option.
+1
It's not a problem for me, and probably not for most of the people who've been with the beta for months. But with the game releasing in a week, a new player is going to have just killed an elemental lord for the first time (definitely a WOW moment in this game) and immediately encounter a bug. It'll kill the buzz.
This is another great example of the end user experience being overlook
So I've always thought that console ports' interfaces suck because the developers are contractually obligated to withhold from PC gamers what they cannot offer to console gamers.
This would be lol news to me.
The first one can be exploited by producing a leather clad unit for no metal, and then upgrading it for 4 metal, saving 38 metal in the process. You end up paying about 150 extra gold (the upgrade cost minus the production difference between chain and leather) for 38 metal which is one hell of a deal, most of the time. I've tried it, it works, as you can see below.
^This is not small. Great post. The upgrade system is definitely in need
Not saying it's required (there's a workaround as you mentioned), but the behavior isn't consistent with the Strategic view, which is strange. Why have a different way to interact with Tactical for navigating?
Agreed. The battle camera should also snap back if set to do so in the options menu, and a few preset angles wouldn't hurt either.
