AzDude has really been trying to help, and I thank him for that. Unfortunately like one other, I found my old install file for DS 8 and it seems to work, so I'm not budging from that until DS 11 or someone has a definite fix for us.
I've done the purge, done the setting up of another Windows 10 account, so many things. Still can't play a Dream, just my own videos or pictures. So frustrating. Reached out to support, just a template email back in return - saying to post in the forums :(
Recently one of my backgrounds got "stuck" and no other background would replace it when selected. Followed directions for "purge" and then a fresh install. No luck. The only background I can get on desktop is with Windows, not Deskscapes. Currently when I select a background in Deskscapes it says "Loading background preview" and the name shows, I can see the subtle changes in the header's color that usually happen when selecting one, but the preview never comes up, an

Hi Sean, I'm getting the No Suitable Decoder found. I've installed the MS MPEG2 thing before and it didn't help. Deskscapes also says it's probably an audio codec issue but I don't think that's likely, very few of the Dreams I have had sound. All was good before I updated to the new version, and I'd installed the codecs to make it work before, but stuck now. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
I really like the new interface. However many of the MPGE2 (?) dreams that I used before (and had installed the codec for) no longer work. Online instructions for the codecs are not good - I'm stuck, many of my favorites won't work. Any setup help appreciated, step-by-step if possible. Thanks!
