Just bought a new PC and installed fences, same issue here. Will give the prerelease a try.

Hi there, Lon time Fences user here... Was using Fences 2 with Windows 10 and when I rebooted my machine two hours ago, explorer wouldn't start properly (it crashes three times). After that, Fences gives a message saying that it detected that Explorer didn't load properly and it disabled itself. I uninstalled fences 2. Used the purge_fences batch file. Downloaded (and purchased) version 3. Installed version 3, same thing happened. </
