Thanks for the reply. I understand the confusion because it took me some time to figure it out. Best I can tell, the folder portal to a folder in dropbox is being automatically synced as desktop files by one drive (the files in the root of that portal-ed folder). When it refreshes my desktop from one drive, it drops the files onto the desktop as files the next time it refreshes (which seems to be weekly) and I end up with an additional 20 files or so on the desktop. I'm running Fences 4.0.7.2 I created a Folder Portal on the desktop to a Dropbox Folder and have it set to roll up the fence. About every week, One Drive dumps the files in the root of that folder onto my desktop. One Drive thinks the folder portal files are on the desktop. I had to delete the folder portal to stop it.
