. If you unlock the taskbar and make it taller, do the icons appear? If they do then that is the problem and you should address the issue to the skins author.
YES !!! that worked... you are the dude.

Ahem yes I created that name thinking I'd never have to come and post here [e digicons][/e] My 8600M GT has never given me any problems, I play Battlefield 2 at max settings and it performs very well, never goes above 65 degrees... oh well, anyway at the moment I don't seem to have problems with starDock Windowblinds... let's hope it lasts.

I mean anywhere in XP I right-click (for instance if I right-click on the wallpaper or I right-click a file), I just get a black box instead of the usual menu. Now I have an even weirder phenomenon, which is that all the icons have disappeared from the system tray. HELP.

Like the title says. Right-click menus are just black boxes with no text. Restarting Windowblinds or Windows doesn't help, the error comes back every time, no matter what skin I use. This is on Windows XP, on Vista it works fine. Anyone else experience this? It's pretty annoying for software I've actually paid for (that doesn't happen often!). The other transparency effects work very well, but I have to disable transparency to see right-click menus.
