Hi, Thanks for the suggestions. I will open a support ticket. As for the sfc/scannow I had already done that. No corrupt system files - ran a check on both hard disks and no errors returned. The only thing that I know for sure is - windowblinds on = file system errors. Windowblinds off = all back to hunky-dorey. As for the patching of files to run other visual styles - that's another negatory. Seems all very strange to me, never seen anything like it in either

I bought windowblinds 7 today, using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and ever since then whilst using it I cannot open any programs. i get windows file system error 65535. I went through all the solutions available online, scanned windows for corrupted files etc, nothing comes back wrong. Then a little lightbulb went on above my head. I tried shutting off windowblinds and presto, I can open programs and files again. Needless to say I'm not happy becaus
