Another thing I just noticed in the "explore" section, almost everything I moved my cursor over had a "purchase" link to the right. What is up with that? Just paid $60 for Object Desktop and something else that was $9.99. Just found out we have to pay MORE $$...I can't help feeling I've been taken. Maybe it's just that I'm such a beginner with it, I don't know. Someone offer a little help? Please? Thanks... Joe

I'm with you ian...I did the same exact thing. Purchased Object Desktop because I thought it included most of the things I would need to have the beautiful pages I've seen.There isn't anything resembling an instructional manual. I'm not sure what to do and where to start. I you or anyone else has any tips or tricks, Please post them ? That would be greatly appreciated... Thanks! Joey

Amen cordelia0507, Amen. Had I had a clue I was paying $50 for something that simply DOES NOT WORK. PERIOD with Windows 8, I wouldn't have allowed myself to be 'ripped off'...VERY disappointed.

Well...A step in the right direction would be for Stardock to mention on it's website that OD is not compatible with Windows 8. I would have liked to have known that before paying $50+ $$ for software that doesn't work with the latest version a major Operating Systems software. Now, I'm beginning to feel as though I've been screwed. But Stardock will probably blame Microsoft.

We plan on updating more of our software as time goes on along with new software for Windows 8. Well I certainly hope so since OD is the only piece of software that I own that is not compatible...And that is the truth.

I received my copy of Windows 8 this past Tuesday. I'm not sure why, but I assumed, for some reason, that Windows 8 would work with the newest Object Desktop...Well, I was wrong. It doesn't seem that ANY of OD works with Windows 8. I should have done a better job investigating, I suppose, but I downloaded the free version of Start8 from Download.com and it worked. Now, after I but OD, the paid version DOES NOT work. don't know what to do. Or if there is anything I ca
