Thanks for the good ideas. Both taskbars were unlocked. I locked and then unlocked them again to be sure. I turned OFF the "Show taskbar buttons on all displays," and yes, it only shows the primary but on the wrong screen 3. No matter where I grab the taskbar i,t won't let me drag it. Both were set for 150% scaling since reading from a Davenport, so I like to read easier. I changed both to 100%. Still can not seem to grab to move. <

Thanks, Good idea, but: The Start 11 controlled taskbar will not drag from the secondary 3 to primary 1/2 If I switch it on and off show the taskbar on all monitors; turning off just closes the bad taskbar on the main monitor 1/2 mirrored - 1 is laptop not even in my easy reach and my primary mirrored large monitor 2. In the Display settings, where shows 1 and 2 are mirrored, the box to make these my primary is checked. But the correct taskbar

I am a long-time user of Start 10 and am going crazy for many hours after doing the latest update to Start 10 on my laptop. This is a step-by-step history of the current problem that seems linked to multiple monitors. I also have Fences and Start 10 on my main PC, with five large monitors connected. Same problem for years with 5 28" monitors. The "perform automatic layout" just screws up more making separate for various types of files, which is not how I am laid out with 8 fences for different on 4 screens with lots of things in each. 4 monitors on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and one on USB. New laptop. Controlled folder access turned off plus turned off both private and public so doesn't block in Windows Defender settings. I have tried to install many times and fail about 75% at Taskbar Grid 04.png and sends me to page telling me to turn off the controlled folder, which I have. I solved main issue so I tried to find how to delete. This if I can not solve should post in the Start10 forum but... I am having an issue trying to install Start10 on a new laptop as the install won't complete due to a firewall issue. Am only using Windows Defender on new vs others on other systems, although it may be the Windows firewall blocking the install. and am researching the issue best I can. Well, I have five 28 inch monitors on PC (3 portraits, 2 landscape) It seems Fences only moves from the USB pluggable fed monitor - but not on normal reboot but it seems whenever Windows 10 does an update. Then moves to the primary monitor (landscape) and scales to wider size with blank space on right side vs its normal position on portrait monitor (less width). Not that big of a deal to drag back and resize by odd.

I had similar issue trying just to update Fences to latest lost all icons couldn't uninstall or get icons bac for 3 hours of trying fixes. I did a long post on my 3 hour journey that might help others will similar problems but it got immediately nuked. So much for any Stardock support.

Using Win 10 with latest updates. Fences updates seems to have lost all icons on desktop and configure "can not find executable file "and lost all desktop icons. Some programs will pin and some won't. For example, can't ID why Wordperfect won't pin but but Word 2010 does pin. Have a speedfan program that won't pin but many others will. Tried exe file and folders on those that won't pin and won't. Those that do pin,I can move up or down etc fine.

This exact problem is being experienced by many people. IF you Google fences restart at least 10 threads about same issue on this forum and others. No one I can find has reported a solution that works. Fences worked fine on XP but when I went to Win 7 64bit last summer the problem started. This is the first thread I've seen with it on Vista but may be 64 bit related. HOLD IT.. drum roll - I may have cured it. If it will stick .. will have to see if

Just note I have the same issue - have had it ever since went to Win 7 64 bit about last Summer. Have seen the various notes here with many having the same problem. Have tried to run as admin which solved for someone but not me. Easy test is change a name on a desktop short cut and with fences on explorer stops and has to restart. Disable Fences and no longer a problem. Enable again and the problem returns. It has to be Win 7 64 bit vs Fences

Wanted to see if any updates and keep this topic active. I do not have AWM and I am getting exactly the same issues of Explorer having to restart whenever change it seems something on desktop and the 3 times thing when reboot. Can' register Impulse it seems without a serial number (trying free fences as test but like what I see). Gee is this the stardocks... of long ago that had an OS2 desktop program.. or may be confused since long long ago.
