I would not consider that an answer to the question. Connecting the Desktop Pages an Win10 Virtual Desktop is in my eyes the natural way to upgrade the Desktop Pages function (add a checkbox to connect them in settings). As long as there is a trigger and a way to identify which virtual desktop you're currently in, I can't see it being very hard to implement (you just draw the corresponding content to the desktop you are in).
