Yes I have uninstalled the free version..
I have now tried everything that has been suggested. I have disabled spyware etc, running on Vista SP2 and am using windows default cursor. The net surfer files have been deleted, yet the cursor still remains:

Just some further info, I downloaded the free version, on a different computer on our home network and it worked fine, with no problems at all. However my issues still exist..
