I, too, don't get along with other children when I was young. I've always been left out by the sidelines, never picked on to join in any team for games, just kinda walk around like an invisible shadow where no one else but me knows I exist. My only friends back then, if I had any, were teachers that were willing to spend their free time talking to a child. My time was spent learning and listening to little stories and lessons they have to offer........... hence that's why I never know the little

JavaBrain, I do try to spend time with him, but it is hard. I don't want to go home with him because his parents can't really afford to have me there. Their house is a bit too crowded for the family alone, and everytime I do go home, I feel like I'm being a total responsibility....... makes me somehow... hate myself. I've told him how important it is to me that we spend time together...and not just anytime, but quality time. I don't request it often, but once a month or two is

It's not really long distance. He's only about two hours away from me, but we've been going out steady for a while now, and quite frankly, I love him enough to do anything...... but even that, I can't help but feel like I'm cheated by time.... I have a right to be sullen about it all.... I'm not worried about Rob cheating on me. There are some guys whom you can look and know if something's wrong. Rob hasn't learned not to hide things from me, and I don't think he'll ever learn either. I

I've promised myself that when I date, I will -not- be separated from him for long.....but look at it. I've dated him for almost the same length of time as we've been together.... I find that a very sad part of my life. ---------- Let me correct that..... I've dated him for almost the same length of time as we've been -apart-.

I feel like I've been cheated by time, and rather harshly too. I've dated Rob for about eight months now (June 11, 2001 - February 12, 2002) and for these eight months, I've not spent one moment of quality time with him..... How would I define quality time? Well, I define it as having a good time with each other without the notion of school or some other dumb worries occupying 30% of our minds. Time's cheated me again and again, and I feel like Time should somehow grant that ba

When my parents got married, my father wasn't exactly earning a whole lot. He earned enough to support him and his wife. I wasn't in the plan just yet, but I came into existence 3 months after they were married. My father didn't have much funds to feed this big a family...and I was a sickly child. My mother wasn't very healthy either, and my father travelled a lot, so I got left in my grandmother's care. When I was five, my mother got pregnant with my younger brother, and through that p

I have lived in many homes, and as a child, my parents haven't always been there to take care of me. If I wasn't left at my grandmother's, I'll be at my aunt's, or at a friend's house that my mother was good friends with.... At times I wished I could be with my parents like my younger brother (he was the reason why I couldn't live with them). However, looking at my younger brother and myself, I didn't hate my brother, nor do I regret the choices my parents made. They've shaped our perso

You know, I read a post Frogboy made about his son making him do something. It makes me appreciate the fact that technology today has given many parents time to spend time with their children, especially fathers. Back a decade or two back, usually fathers are too busy to spend time with their children, especially when the child's 1-10 years old.... I had my father spend time with me when I was little. Although I would've liked more of his time, I'm thankful I've been given the

well, I've heard that it takes about 6-10 years to digest in your system, but as long as you haven't swallowed as many pieces of gum as I have, you should be fine . /me has probably swallowed more pieces of gum than her own age =P

Don't stress yourself over this, Boxxi. It's really just a little idea. I figured there would be a little section somewhere where I can get to and update names for b-days. That's all I was thinking on. Really nothing that's going to require days to finish..and just for that one day .

I've been having lots of fun doing birthday things on this board, and I've brought up one suggestion to our admins. My suggestion was, somewhere on this site, we'll put up a little section where it'll read something like "Wednesday, January 29, 2002" In that box, whenever there's someone's birthday, we'll list their names underneath it. That way, the community knows to wish the person a happy birthday or something. Brad suggested putting it on the msgboard, which I thi
