Post #14 and #15 are Stardock. At this time we will not be offering Fences 2 for Fences 1 users for free.
I didn't realise they were officially from Stardock and that was the official answer. Thank you for the response, I
I'm not coming out on anyone's 'side'. The only thing I was trying to explain was, in my perspective you are not entitled to a free upgrade. Regardless of what was mentioned by the seller. I think a fair explanation was given in post's #12, #14 & #15. You choose to continue to pursue what you feel is your right. All the power to you, take my comment with a grain of salt. In 'My' opinion, your question 'has'
I cant help but feel your either part of the team that recommended to the Stardock Management that they should charge all customer for 2.0 or that you like being hard done by and expect all companies to do it to you as standard.
@BottleTop: I don't quite agree with your perception that an 'upgrade' should come at no cost. I am a loyal customer of VMWare, I initially purchased Work station 7. I received an offer for version 8 [it was MY decision not to 'upgrade'] and low and behold version 9 is now available. I 'Do' qualify for the upgrade discount, which I will be taking advantage of. However, I do not feel I'm getting gipped by the compan
Bottletop ...please consider #14 as the clear and precise explanation from Stardock, as to the non-appearance of features mentioned as 'coming soon'. What is in development, however enticing doesn't always succeed on every level, and performance is always going to be of paramount concern. Perhaps what may have been lacking was subsequent notification of proposed features that would need to be abandoned... [/quote

I'm not sure I'd agree with this. You bought a great app with existing functionality that worked. You were not sold future features . . although you may have expected more. (I think we at Stardock were hoping for more dev time and more feat

Firstly, thank you for your reply. I understand that you have placed a number of new features into Fences 2 however you have also neglected to place a number of promised features into Fences 1, something that you advertised at the time as 'Coming soon' Start8 has a number of features and it is for an OS which can not be purchased by the general public as yet, but it is free.Im sure a lot of work went into that and the people who put that work in needed payment

Hi When Fences Pro was first released it was advertised as having a number of features 'Coming soon' I loved Fences from the start, I thought Stardock was great and the promise of the upcoming features was enough for me to decide this was something I wanted on my PC, this was 2009. In Dec 2011 I was frustrated, Stardock had released lots of new software but Fences Pro had no not changed. I created a post on this forum: <a

I think its a shame. I see releases such as Tiles and wonder if these these are the things which have taken priority? I know I couldn't just jump ship onto other projects at work because we also have customers and customers tend to purchase your other products when they have received good service for their money on the products they have already got from you. I think most Fences Pro customers are going to be disappointed and normally I wouldn't write

I purchased Fences Pro within weeks of it becoming available because it was such a great tool and I really wanted the customisation features which were listed as "coming soon" Well its been a couple of years now and apart from a few bug fixes there seems to have been no development at all. Last year we was told that the Fences Pro features would be coming in 2011 but we are now running out of time. Whats going on?

Hi Im using the latest version of Fences Pro on XP. I love it but would like to know if there is a way to adjust icon alignment? As my screenshot shows, Fences does not place icons in the empty area at the bottom of my desktop when I automatically arrange them, yet if I was to switch autoarrage off and create a new folder afterwards then it would automatically go to the bottom left corner. <img src="http://i339.photobucket
