Ah, this seems to be a problem entirely caused by something else running on my machine! Should be easy to track it down and fix it, since it appears to be a program that I wrote myself [e digicons]:grin:[/e] Sorry to have wasted your time.

Thanks but that would reserve a lot of space when I just want the dock to popup like it does with all other programmes.

I have just purchased OD+ and discovered the following. If I have Visual Basic 6 running, and its window is covering the area of the screen where I have a dock set to autohide at the bottom of the screen, then the dock never appears when I move the mouse over that area. The same happens when I run a Visual Basic application. If I move/size the VB window such that it covers the while height of the screen, but only half the width, then moving the mouse over the half covered by the windo
