I think he does grief in private but Ceresa said she read not his diary but his Hiergamenon, which I always believed was supposed to be like the compilation of his life work for others to read, so it was a public record... Another thing I just noticed, when reading the one Stardock posted a while ago online, there is a part that is clearly written by Relias, in which he is charting the East and mentions how he met the Oracle and she told him he would be king (Sort of je

Huh, maybe I should re-read it... You do not have to fight me, but Relias. (There is also Procipinee, who is not bad looking either, Relias you dog!):P True, but people here told me the same when I called dibs on the idea of the Oracle getting corrupted and becoming the FE. (Their designs were a clear give away) I did wish I was wrong though, much more enjoyable when I cannot predict what is going to happen. But yes, I actually like your i

Does he? Where was that mentioned? :S And yeah, if Stardock does not remake the WoM campaign then we should, since a lot of plot points were never mentioned mostly because they were yet to be thought up, and with the new tools it could really be great. If there is any Civil War I would bet it would be one of Relias unifying the West by force to be able to face Ceresa properly rather than the Nobles' Revolts that from what i read were not that

First of all, I loved the campaign, much more enjoyable than WoM one (Which I also liked), and although the plot twist of the Oracle becoming the Enchantress and of her being Ceresa was pretty obvious, I still liked it that both she and Relias got fleshed out so much. Yet I feel the whole thing ended in a cliffhanger (Yes, the cliff where the continent split in half *shot*) and while I know that WoM's own campaign is supposed to be next chronologically speaking, is there going to

If it is so good, why not use it? (It may already do, I do not know for certain, but by what you say. :S) Is to so that more people can play FE? (This is just out of curiosity, in no way I am criticizing Stardock, I am sure they have reasons for the decisions they do, and that said choices are not 'to screw players' :P) My game also dies FPS wise, and it worries me that it is in the campaign of all places, where I have one city, and a single stack of units, and

Help... I tried looking around but I saw no recent post about something like this... I downloaded FE from Stardock Central, it is not corrupt or anything, it is the correct size and it did install completely without it telling me anything. But when I try to run the game, it only attempts to load for like 3 seconds before it tells me FE has stopped working and returns me to the desktop. I have tried to run as administrator and reinstalling, but to no avail. &nbs

Regardless of what others might say about Stardock's decision about giving away FE, I feel that it takes a really good company that actually cares about games to do such things, so my congratulations, every time you guys do something that shows how Stardock's handles issues, you just become more awesome in my eyes. That along with how open you guys are with players in the forums, makes me actually care for the company, to me all others are more like 'well, sure, they are g

[quote who="Austinvn" reply="19" id="3254408"]I think you guys have it backwards. My arbitrary prediction: Procipinee ends up being the main antagonist, the "Fallen Enchantress." She is, after all, the one trying to "unite the realms of the world under her banner" - how do you think she's going to do that, hugs and kisses? She's a power-crazy conquerer, who's sending her minions (you!) to the other side of the world, just to brutally stamp out someone she thinks might be a threat

[quote who="Tuidjy" reply="13" id="3254269"] Quoting Supergulo, reply 12I call it that the Oracle gets corrupted somehow and becomes the Fallen Enchantress I hope that's not the case. You'd think that at least one fantasy character would have the brains to figure out the concept of self-fulfilling prophecy, or at least to figure out that you cannot trust an oracle to be truthful if her self-interest may be involved. If I had a buck for every story in w

The city is called Resoln... Is it safe to assume that the Fallen Enchantress is Serresa (I forgot the actual name, I am talking about resoln's sovereign) like I have been thinking since day one, or is it going to be a new girl? Also going by Resoln's WoM description: "In the west, along the water, the coasts are sheer cliffs a thousand feet high, where the continent itself split" just like that town... I call it that the Oracle gets corrupted somehow and becom

Two questions... Does the AI use these spells? And if so, can they be disabled in case I want a game where the AI does not build bridges to everywhere? Also, will the pathfinding algorithm work with it? Because back in WoM I many times lowered a mountain range to make a shortcut and the pathfinder would still circle the whole thing, even after I expanded the mountain pass to like 4 squares wide... :S Thanks in advance.

(11) I can’t tell you who the Fallen Enchantress is. But you can probably guess. Huh? I thought it was clear that it was Ceresa... Who else is a fallen sovereign that is mainly a magic user? The fact that you say that you cannot say makes me believe there's something more to this... Was Tar'Thela fallen by any chance? I don't recall. :P

I use it, but I rather use Impulse/Gamestop, I dunno why, but it seems more user friendly. One of the main reasons I do know, is that Steam makes you put money in your account, and THEn buy the game, unlike Impulse where you simply gave it your card info and it was done. I recently bought a Steam game for 11 dollars, now I have 4 dollars sitting there for no reason other than they allow me only to put money in my account in numbers divisible by 5. Although in th

REALLY GREAT! I just tried it, and I had not been in the earlier betas, but I can say this is already way better than WoM got to be! A few bugs do exist (It IS beta. :P) like portraits failing to appear, or sudden lag spikes in tactical (just once or twice). A thing I did notice that is not there from WoM which makes no sense to me at least, is the utter lack of offensive spells that are not fire based. I was hoping for a dart spell for each of the four

Got the Titan battlefield to disappear and build after killing everyone, but the Winter one did not die no matter what... I even had all the world under my influence, so no monster could have escaped... Worse yet, there was a third one, that was basically a circular mountain range with a gate, and what seems to be a city in it's walls, and a dragon mounting dude in the middle, all this I know because I managed to get someone with high sight to find it out, as I never got an intro

I personally like this idea, it is much better than the forts of Civ, which could not be upgraded. If my outpost/fort is in a key mountain pass, I want to fortify it till it looks like freaking Wall of China. XD Besides, the whole point of how starbases worked would work even better here, in GalCiv you could happily go around them, as it was empty space, now they are chockepoints.

All these changes due to the teleportation in cities? Is it that much of an odd idea to simply have units coming out of the city appear on the hubs and walk over the city as normal? So when entering a city it is still when crossing the wall, but the moves are counted, should they be above the number, it acts as normal, if it is below you simply enter the city and now have to wait for the next turn to go on. (Seriously, the one tile or so teleportation resulting is not gamebreaking at all.)</p

I love the differentiation, that's is for sure, but how will this translate to custom factions? We have to chose between the presets like in GalCiv, or we can choose bonuses and penalties that fit our faction better? Like say, that 2nd level bonus, we can get that one, bu we have to balance it with some big penalty.
