I had rebooted 3 times yesterday, but just did so again and now it seems to be working. About the "new fence" function - draw a new fence - then it disappears and the little white box comes up below where the new fence WAS, but says "create a new fence here?" (well no, how about WHERE I drew one?), Ok, I"m feeling picky but it is odd and a bit clunky that before you get to SEE your new fence you have agree to the non-location and name it. At least Fences is work

Yes, XP Pro. NOthing changed on the machine. FEnces just won't work. It won't let me make a new fence and it won't allow moving of existing icons.

Same problem here - FENCES refused to keep icons where I put them. I thought maybe I had too many in one Fence, but clearing that out didn't help. I let it do an Auto Layout, but that didn't help. I upgraded to the new version and still no change - I can't move an icon from one fence to another, they snap right back to where they came from.
