A forum search for "SoundPackager" yielded no results, so on to my question.... At the risk of seeming snotty, can we expect, in the near future, a release of SoundPackager that is compatible with Win 8.1? Has Stardock abandoned this software? I've posed this query to Stardock several times — before and after Microsoft's release of Win 8.1 — and've only garnered variants of the rather nebulous reply, "Just keep checking the Forums." Thanks for the responses, folks, and I realize I could've been clearer in one aspect of my problem description. In stating that "SC will not permit me to install to a directory of my choosing," I was referring to the Stardock Central program itself. Similarly to others' difficulties: - Neither DesktopX v3 nor v4beta appear in the Stardock Central list of my programs - WindowFX v5beta appears in the SC list, but not WFX v4 - SC will not permit me to install to a directory of my choosing.
