This is the one missing app that makes me question renewal each year. Curtains made me renew this year. But would I love to have OD back.

Oh, and @Neil, I went back to 150% scaling and did the Shadow.Top and Shadow.Bottom hack and indeed it looks awesome in scaled mode too!!! Thanks so much. This opens a whole world of new themes for me!

AH! That makes more sense. I don't see what the cleanboot was going to do since I did a re-install of the OS and only had one admin account and no other software installed but Curtains. I changed to 100% scaling on my 28" 4k monitor and voila. It works. (Text is way too small for my middle aged eyes, but the theme did work!

I did a full, clean, re-install of Windows and everything and it still happens. Two machines: Desktop i9-9900K, 64GB, 3TB M2, RTS 2070 Super 8GB; Microsoft Surface Pro 6 i7, 16GB, 1TB model (no dGPU). Same thing happens on both, no matter what settings I have. I had this issue on my desktop when I had a GTX 1660 8GB too and on previous version of Windows as well (1909).

When using themes that do rounded (or curved) corners the images never line up. I've tried multiple styles. The one in this screenshot is Elegance Color HD, but it happens with all of them that have rounded corners. Is there some "secret" setting you have to enable for this to work. I thought about setting sync, but I have the same theme on both my desktop and laptop. I'm wondering if Windows updates cause it. I'll let you know then next patch that I get. I work for Microsoft, but I'm not currently on early builds. Just standard Win 10 2004.

I've done that a few times to test. Still happens. I just can't put my finger on the "event(s)" that cause it. Just seems that one day the old Windows sounds are there and I have to go into SoundPackager to re-set my theme. Let me play around with a few more tests.

SoundPackager sounds keep getting reset to Windows 10 defaults. It seems that I can't seem to keep the SoundPackager theme I choose "loaded" and that after a few days or boots the sounds get reset. It's really annoying. Has anyone else seen that? FYI, right now I'm using Star Trek Beeps, Chirps, and Warbles, but it seems to happen with all themes. Windows 10 2004 19041.450.

I like it. Fast, looks nice. Not as complicated as Windowblinds. BUT I have the same issue I did with Windowblinds around the value of it. So many companies (Microsoft, Spotify, Adobe, Affinity, etc. etc. etc.) use frameworks that can't be "skinned". Outlook, Teams, Atom, the list goes on and on and on. Doesn't seem to be the same issue. As I've noted elsewhere, I create a new page. I shift drag some windows to it, pin them to the page. Then I drag some app links (icons) from Start Menu to the new page and everything is great. A few re-starts later and the page loses those shortcut icons. Just odd.

I had already read that. I can't seem to attach screenshots here, but what I'm seeing is that the links just go away. I drag a bunch of shortcut icons to my page "General" I created. I have four other pages I created. Some will retain them and some will not. One note. Thanks. I am not having problems, per se. Just want updated doc. I know 7 is there (and I've been using that), but would be nice to have V10 version so I can know how it all works and what settings do what, etc. Can't seem to find a unified location for all of the product doc. Hitting F1 in any of the newer apps does nothing.

Is there a WindowBlinds 10 Help document or Manual? I've searched and searched and only found 7 as the latest. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just came back after several years of not using OD on Win 10 as I was on a Mac for work. But really want to use it again, but some new stuff is in need of discovery for me. Also... Thanks. Will do that for now. All I really need is the ability to change the installation folder that SDC installs too. We allow a shared programs folder (C:\Programs) that all users have rights to. So if I could install there with the admin account the normal (non-admin) user (the day to day one) could use it too. Vince

In our organization users are no longer local admins. I can see why Stardock and others would move application installations to the users folder yet many large organizations limit the size of those folders for syncronization and backup. Also in our case it is an issue because the non-admin accounts can't install anything. What we do is give certain users priveldged accounts to install software with. I just bought a new laptop and put Vista x64 on it. I am a long time OD user but do not want to put Impulse or Stardock Central on this new machine. I just want TweakVista and nothing else. Is there a way to do that? I have the 30 day trial installed but there seems to be no way to do it and I really don't want anything else installed on this laptop. Vince

I agree with Scott's comments. My thoughts exactly on the OB stuff for some time. I really like OB but it is still a bit quirky at times and some of the display issues (like Windows Tasbar showing up) can be quite annoying. Overall I still love it. Vince
