Luis and Fudoshi, Stardock is aware that this version(3.00a.091)and the last version(3.00.090)are causing major problems on some computers. The bad thing is the newest version(3.00a.091)is even worse than the last,and this was supposed to be the fix.It virtually paralyzes my computer until I uninstall IP.I know what your going thru not being able to open programs.Neither one of these versions should have been release versions.

I just installed the new version.The problems are just as bad if not worse.I tried to open my control panel, and this is the message I get(the application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000005)click on ok to terminate application).Then the whole computer freezes up.I then reboot and uninstall with OD zapper.I have reformatted my computer twice in the past week until I realized what the problem was.When I uninstall with OD zapper I get the message(er

Cordelia,I have contacted them(e-mail and phone).They are aware of the problems some people are having.This was supposed to be the fix.The only thing tech support tell me is that they will tell the developers.

I just installed IP 3.00a.091-7/6/05).This version is even worse than the last.I can't even open the control panel.I have to access IP thru my computer.These last two versions virtually paralyse my computer.I had to delete with OD zapper.This is not good. Windowblinds without Icon Packager is not the same.

Hi,Maranne,Fairyy~,And Chasbo,I have been in contact with Stardock Support over the phone and thru the e-mail.This version of Icon Packager(3.00.090) is causing issues with some computers. On my machine(2.8GHz,80GB&40GB,1.12GB of RAM)it freezes the whole computer,or causes many programs not to open.Developers are aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix. Here's another great link http://www.pcpitstop.com with all different kinds of tests(connection up and down,ping,etc.).This seems to be a little more accurate than zdnets especially if your connection is over 2 mbyte.I have Comcast and my down is 3067kb/s,up 242kb/s.Comcast is in the process of moving everybody to 3mb down and comcast pro to 4mb down. I bought both,and I use both.There are certain things I like do on the Mac such as ichat AV(video conferencing with high quality) which are not available on the PC.On the flip side I enjoy all the wonderful skinning options on the PC which are much more limited on the Mac.Networking is a breeze between Windows XP and Mac OS X for sharing files.I know my option is not the cheapest,but if you can afford it the most rewarding.

This is exactly the thing which makes people go to the illegal sites.The new Napster and Musicmatch sites don't work with the IPod.Everybody wants their piece of the pie without considering the consumer.The next thing coming down the pipe is copy protected cd's which can only be ripped in WMA(Microsoft) format,and restrict the number of copies you can burn.The music industry should look at the skinning community for an example.You will never find a link on any of these music sites.

Hippy,Great work again.I love the Desktop X with the dock built right into the taskbar.Just one problem.The date and time text is off center on the 1280 version.Other than that it is flawless.Totally disagree with John Wayne,but he can't even spell definitely.
