While cosmetic only, shouldn't a class 16 planet look somewhat Earth-like? My second game with Beta4a has one that looks like Mars, both on the main map and in the planet view. I can send in a saved game if needed.

An improvement like Multimedia Center says that it improves morale 15%, but the GNN report that pops up when you complete it says 1%. Looks like the second digit is getting chopped off.
It appears that the technology research speed setting that you set at game start is not being saved with the rest of the game data I had noticed that a tech that I was researching and had 3 weeks left, had 6 weeks left after a reload of the saved game. I hadn't changed the default research speed sett
OK, just one more comment on this one from me. I forgot to mention that I have NEVER (and I mean NEVER!) launched GalCiv2 from inside SDC before. I always use the Start Menu shortcut. So why did that continue to work fine when I just let SDC auto-update Beta 3 up to Beta 4 (and then 4A), but after I did a full uninstall/reinstall
I just tried activating using product codes that had been emailed to me (one for TGN and one for Galciv), and both attempts failed.
I'm at the office right now. You have a job? From the amount of testing you do and the number of posts you generate I figured either you were retired or a student. I admire your devotion <img src="smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Thumbs down on the shark. Make it an option if you can.
Or start the game from SDC. Worked for me.
Was the build queue empty when you got it, or was it full of stuff that needed 0 or 1 turns? If it was a save game, it's probably due to the queue not being saved correctly, which we've fixed here. If the queue was empty, I didn't put in any code to auto-upgrade improvements for defected planets, but that shouldn't be too hard.<
Ah-ha! That explains that

I started off playing the humans with the Federalists as my party. After switching to the Republic form of government, at the first vote I was informed that I was the Industrialist party, not the Federalists. I "won" the election, with the Industrialists getting 85% of the vote, and was told my bonuses were "Economics -20". This
A planet that defected to me from the Korx has now gone 10 turns without upgrading existing structures or starting Soil Enhancement. Other planets are auto-upgrading and doing soil enhancement (the governor has both options checked). So I'm not sure if it's unique to this one class 14 planet, or if all culture-flipped planets ignore the governor. Post edited: I've now found another planet that culture flipped to me, and it is not upgrading structures or doing soil enhancement eithe

0.76 removes classes 1 through 4. If they're still being created it's a bug. I'm on .76[b].003 and I see a class 2 and a class 3 in the Korx home system. And Mars is a class 4. Does that count as a bug?
I haven't seen mines as a buildable improvement in beta 4, though they were available in Beta 3. I still see mining bonus tiles, though.
The Stats and Graphics tabs of the Domestic Policy window contradict each other. I'm playing against only the Korx - the Graphs show me as up 291 to 0 militarily, and 131 to 29 on technology, but Stats says I'm 2nd on military and technology.
Downloaded .76[b].003 (Beta 4a?). I started the game from the GalCv II Config tool, saved and quit. Now if I try to start the game again I get a window that asks me to activate the game by entering my email and product code. I can still start the game ok from the GalCiv II Config tool or from Stardock Central, just not from the Windows Start menu.
The colonization event where a precursor artifact is discovered that feeds off life force has text that is too big (or too long) to fit in the display - the good and neutral choices are readable, but the evil choice runs off the bottom so that you can't see what the reward/penalty is. There's no way to scroll that part of the window, and I'd prefer not to scroll it anyway. The text and check boxes should be scaled to fit in the available space.</font
Integer overflow on planet influence? I've converted all AI planets through my overwhelming cultural influence except one. I'm not sure that one is ever going to convert since its influence is shown as (when I select the planet): 13 ip (5061...) instead of the usual figure between 0 and 4. ... it did eventually convert.
Another integer overflow type of error: The corporate sponsors of Trade Route 4294967295, from Russom V to Vizzard I, regretfully inform us that maintaining this route has become too risky to be profitable and is henceforth discontinued.
1)Wtih above:they are upgrades so they do! In GC2 Newer Bulidings of the same "zone" will render previous models Obselte and will repalce them with better stuff so it is corect! So you're agreeing with me that the fact that these buildings DO NOT (in this beta) replace the earlier models is a bug?<br/
In the tech tree "Stinger IV" is misspelled as "Singer IV". I'm sure that lobbing Barbara Streisand at a Drengin ship could have awful consequences, but I don't think that's what you meant
Is Xeno farming supposed to replace the basic farm with the xeno farm? Is a research academy supposed to replace the research lab? They don't. They're new buildings, not upgrades.
When sending multiple constructors to a resource, when the first one gets there and builds the starbase, the others all drop out of autopilot. I'd rather see them continue to the new starbase.
