I think there is another, simpler response to the question: "Why do we need Elemental when we have Civ IV and GalCiv II?" In the realm of TBS 4X games there are three sub-genres: Historical, Space, and Fantasy. There is a HUGE void when it comes to fantasy TBS. I solved my own problem. By decreasing the anti-aliasing in the video settings from 4x to 2x this problem is resolved. Why did I have to do that? Does that mean I have a crappy video card?

Question: I am currently running the most recent version of the beta on my laptop. The game runs very sluggishly on my computer. It is basically very slow reacting to my actions, for example if I click on something or try to scroll the map it takes a while before the game responds. Is this something that everyone is experiencing since this is still in Beta or does this sound like something that is very specific to some limitations of my laptop? Any guidance would be ap

I've had GalCiv II TOA for quite some time now but have only ever played in sandbox mode. Given that I have a fairly limited amount of time to play video games (unfortunately!) I wanted to know if my time would be better spent continuing with sandbox mode or if I should definitely checkout the campaigns? Do the campaigns offer a unique and rewarding experience that would make them worth my time? Any feedback on the campaign mode would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if 2.03 fixes many of the AI problems that seem to be specific to TA that are frequently discussed in the TA sub-forum such as: Civ's don't aggressively expand Civ's don't build improvements on some planets Civ's build the non-optimal type of improvement on tiles with bonuses Also, curious if 2.03 changes the behavior of the mid to late game tech costs skyrocketing which seems to be another major complaint?
