Double post, sorta.

I just skimmed a few pages of threads, and it turns our everything but QoT and software piracy is OP.

The AI is just plain dumb at times. I've only played a bit of singleplayer, and I've already seen a bunch of AI demigods commit suicide via towers and reinforcements without any other demigods in the area. They also have this bizarre habit of camping just outside a flag's cap radius.

I encountered this bug a lot in single-player. It happened with a bunch of abilities and items, but seemed to affect the Parasite Egg most of all. Might've been a coincidence, though.

Oak's shield isn't the only way to exploit the Heart of Life: the Orb of Defiance gives you a guaranteed 5 seconds of healing (you have to use the Heart first, but both items are instant-cast, so there's no real chance of getting interrupted). This combo does take up two use item slots and about double the gold cost of the HoL, so I'm not sure it qualifies as an exploit. Without a demo or a friend that bought the game, pirating it is the only way to try before you buy. This was before I read about singleplayer somehow mooching off Stardock's servers, obviously.
