The new edition of Icon-A-Day has re-kindled my desire to make a custom icon pack, using various file-type icons that I like. The Icon-A-Day file-types are pretty nice, and they scale down pretty well. However as I start to do it, i come across the same old problem. 90% of the time I use Explorer, I'm in "Details View" so that I can properly sort file easily....and see pertanent details about them. The problem with that is, that in Detial

LoL! New this year at WinCustomize......be a paying subscriber so that you can earn the privilege to pay for more stuff!
This is very strange. I have 2 computers running Vista 64 business. One runs Logon Studio just fine, the other doesn't. The desktop with ATI Video card and Asus motherboard, works....the Dell laptop with Intel video does not.
Well, aside from EVERYTHING trying to look like a stupid iPhone, the application is better than I thought it would be. However performance over remote desktop is pretty poor and it still triggers Vista UAC. :( Also, I dont know if this is only over Remote desktop (sicne I'm not at home) but clicking on the Stardock "orb" shows a plain black box instead of a menu. I can only see the text of each item when I move the mouse over that item.
I dont personally use Object Dock....partly because of what has been mentioned here. It's a non-stop quest to find good icons. However, I think it would be really cool of the WinCustomize library was integrated into the product. Imagine this. I make an Adobe Acrobat icon, and when I upload it, I can specify up to 3 EXE names that apply to it. Then I run Object Dock and make a shortcut to Adobe Acrobat. I click the "Change Icon" button and it connects to WinCustomize, and sh
It's hard to tell, but I get the feeling that this game is going to have similar play style to the older game called "Myth" (and Myth 2) Basic idea is that each side gets x number of points to spend on different units, and then you battle it out until the arena is won. Obviously this would have the added feature of the "demigod" (akin to Warlord Battlecry's hero). Am I about right on that? I sure hope so!
I would not want cell phone skins...because of the type of user it would attract to the community.
I would not want cell phone skins...because of the type of user it would attract to the community. What type is that? New? Young? Hip? I wonder if new artist would come along with them and start bringing the cell aesthetic along to other skinnables?
I meant more like....people who take and ask 10,000 questions without giving back anything. People who spend $1.99 on a ring-back tone. Of course for stardock this would be good....but for the community it would suck
So it's Windows Vista Explorer with some of the toolbar buttons removed....and it uses the "picture folder view" for everything? Oh and they removed the tree-view from the left pane. looks revolutionary.
Things aint what they used to be, no, no.
First let me say that I'm not sure that this stimulus package will actually have an effect. But more importantly, I'd like to state that this is such an idiotic and over emotional post. "Since "the rich" pay virtually all the taxes and the fact that people who aren't paying any income taxes are still getting the rebate, we have, literally, the forced transfer of wealth from those who earned it (since we're talking earned income here) to those who did not earn it. Anyone who thinks
Would be nice if the Configuration applets for each application were integrated into Impulse as well. I hate having to open a bunch of different seperate windows to tweak stuff.
It's more than just "trying to get ahead of google". They will also likely "poison the water supply" of google's main business by blitzing the advertising market with lower prices, forcing google to loose income. They also gain the HUGE online services of Yahoo mail and IM, making it a powerhouse in the IM business, which is a lot more advertising dollars as well. Google's IM network is limited, and AOL is...well, AOL. They also aquire flickr, HotJobs, GeoCities, and
13. Germans would control the media. (ba-dum-dum)
9. I will not call my customers dumb-asses
I have one you might consider adding: 8. I'm going to not air my company's dirty laundry in a public place. It's probably obvious to the our internal employees, which people are going lose descision making power, and it probably makes them feel like shit to see it posted publicly.
This is so typical. Someone doesnt agree with you, and all of the sudden it's appalling that they can vote.
Sounds cool. I'd love to see a "dirty" metal suite, especially one that constantly has more things added to it. I'd love to see post-apocalyptic type metal.....dark but not black....maybe even "borg"-ish. Hopefully the initiators will include a bunch of "raw" graphics to use. I have all kinds of cool DesktopX objects I've wanted to code for a while, but I am no good with graphics. Would love to contribute to something like this.
Draginol, I present this opinion for you: You complain about the % of money that comes out of your pay, and the amount of money taxed onto your spending. But what you're ignoring is that this is all a relative term. EVERYONE has that % taken out of their earnings and added onto their purchases. If taxes were cut in half across the board tomorrow, it would not affect your ability to buy big screen TV's or semi-luxury cars, or larger houses. Why? Because all markets would adjust to
I have a child, and I fear more that should would not learn how to handle herself in the world, more so than something dramatic happening.
I cant wait!!! I actually dont want to play the betas at all because sometimes that ruins a game for me. I stopped playing Dark Avatar a few months ago because i felt like "I had seen everything" and each game was just becoming fairly routine. *THIS* however will get the juices flowing again! In fact learning each race is going to feel like a mini-game in itself! Only thing I will say is........the immense map scares me!!!!
I think both parties are in a place where they have NO idea what direction voters are going to lean in 2008. This means there's two things they're trying to NOT do: 1. Create too much in-fighting in their respective parties. They de
NICE! It's about time. I've wanted JU to support this kind of thing for a long time. (maybe it did and I didnt know it) I looked quickly at Live write and thought it was great. Maybe i'll start blogging again.
The software industry naturally gravitates. The software industry WANTS an OS monopoly. Why? Cause it's cheaper for everyone. The quality and innovation have nothing to do with it. ---- Developers No software development firm WANTS to have the OS market divided 33% / 33% / 33%. They'd much rather have it divided 90% / 5% / 5%. Why? Cause they can safely ignore the 10% minority if they choose to. When writing software for Windows, it's already difficult enough to test it
Calling you fat is not some deep social or psychological means of "separation". It's simply a function of language. Humans have a need to label everything because we base our entire society on language. (it's the only way we know how to communicate with others) You're "fat" because, yes, you are different than the majority.....so there's a need to call it "fat". Inside our minds, we can understand that there's very little difference between average weight people and fat people....
