Quoting Werewindlefr, reply 25 The history of video games proves otherwise. This game might not die, but it'll most likely never be very successful and will never have a large pool of players. The first week, event he first day, is the most important period of time in a game's life, particularly if it's an online game. Miss it, and the game will at best have mild success, and at worst will be deserted in a matter of weeks.<b

That is a VERY good idea. This was actually exactly how they solved a problem on a certain PS3 game I got. They too were having their servers crash like crazy due to anyone even playing single player hiting all the servers all the time at once. I think it was Little Big Planet. For a long time you had to disconnect your internet connection to even play the game. Oh ya it was GTAIV. They fixed it so that every player didnt ping the server like you said when just p
Love these ideas. Its making it like WOW but thats a good thing since they well refined the group PVP thing over many years. I especially like idea of Holding ALT to see health bars. One to add is a way to target nearest ally or enemy. How can you possibly target Heal or Shield someone in this game when you cant even see them cleary in a battle with lots of minions?
In some ways I disagree with this idea. If you make it too easy for everyone to get upgrades.. All teams will have all upgrades most all the time. Its a strategy and takes teamwork to help your team and upgrade the citadel. That is what you've chosen to do in the match and its going to cost you time and money. Another team may skip that and be more for lving fast as he can. If it takes no time to upgrade your citadel then both teams would very quickly have the sa
Anything to cut down on so much Pixel Hunting. I cant even find Lord Erebus alot of the time in a pitched battle since hes small and gets burried. God forbid if anyone was looking to target heal or shield me. I guess I should check for a Hotkey to target nearest Ally. But somehow i dont expect there to be one. Also when your wanting to drop a spell in a target area. While your waiting to drop it.. you need to be able to see the damage on an enemy to know when to
The extremely Highly rated Little Big Planet also did not work online for several days after its release. Gamespot usually takes a few days after release to at least play their games before reviewing them. They took no real time at all and posted a premature review noting no Single player as one of the BAD things. Its got the same single player that Sins of a Solar Empire had. But Im a little pissed that both Sins and Demigod have no 1280x720 support which is
It especially bugs me because in any other resolutions i have to go in Interlaced mode rather than progressive scan like 720p. Interlaced only gets max 30fps. Progressive 60Hz is what you want for up to 60fps. So Im screwed just cuz nobody thought to put a standard 720p rez.
Isnt there an online verision of the manual that came with the Hardcopy of the game? For those that got it Digitally? That should at least explain the object of the game and what the buttons do, and save alot of time from posting it here. I cant believe theres not PDF version of the manual even. Its not hard to figure out everything if you play easy or even normal AI offline. You can kinda sit back and just read over everything and
Ok then where is 1280x720? If you look up 720p on wikipedia it defines it as 1280x720 as the standard. 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p. Theres one stadard resolution for each of these and 1280x720 is the one for 720i/p come on people HD isnt all that NEW! Look at the setting on an xbox360 or ps3. Most every console game uses 720p or 1080i as their HD resolution. Now before you say a computer is not a console. The whole HD th
That's not a typical resolution for computer games and I don't know of any games that support it.
Yes it is a VERY common display mode and I got over a dozen new titles that have it on the PC. Now on Consoles every game is either 720p or 1080i. Many people have HD Tvs these days and many are using them as monitors. Having the 2 main HD resolutions would be nice. It is also the standard for Wide
I had this same problem with Sins of a Solar Empire. There is no setting for 1280x720. Now as far as I know the most common HD resolution for 720p/60 is 1280x720 so I dont understand why its missing? Im using a SHARP 46 Inch HD TV for my monitor and have it plugged into my ATI 3870 card through the HDMI interface which my tv only goes up to 720p with 60Hz. If its anything but that, my display jumps to 1080i and 30Hz. I dont want 1080i.. I want 720p
Ya man the mockup was quite funny. You even listed the Moods of the mobs on screen and what they are listening too! And the CNN report at the bottom is Hillarious. "Regulus Snipe "Total BS" according to Darkness experts!" But you know i still gotta complain that there are no actual Numbers! ha more mouseover Info would be nice. And Im sure itll come. Look how much the WOW interface changed over the years and how every ability got worked out
Dont worry no one will get sued enough that GS shall have a grudge take off. And yes its a risk SD are willing to take, but the risk is literally non-existance. By not selling Stardock products because of the lawsuit they will just loose more money, which is not what Gamestop wants. Let's be clear here, no one is going to be suing anyone. It doesn't work that way, especially since Gamestop's initial order was only a few thousand units, t

Hi all, Im new to the forums but I've been reading through here for about a year now and Im pretty excited about the game and how well the community works together here. I've also been a WoW player for about 4 years and I've read through the various forums there over the years which are so very similar to balance threads here. WoW has gone through PVP balancing as an ongoing affair for over 4 years now and they do a really good job correcting these exact same problems you bring up here.
