Ok here is what happened .. lol... the font that multiplicity uses is very bad for this single reason> the PASSCODE font makes it very easy to confuse an L with a 1 !!!! and believe it or not.. that was my stupid mistake . Hello... I have been using multiplicity for years on my own systems without a problem. So i referred the app to a friend first to test it out on the trial before he buys. But whatever I might do its not connecting. It finds the other computer and I can add it to the "host"machine. But the host icon tries to connect and then after a few seconds it becomes grey again. Hello, i have a 55 inch huge 4k screen and reaching all the way to the left to get the start button with the mouse is a little annoying. I am using program called taskbar x to move all the pinned icons to the middle of the taskbar and I love it, ( https://chrisandriessen.nl/taskbarx ) but the start button remains on the left.
