Oddly enough, I almost always get 3 econ booms in a game. Even with the extreme planets set to rare. All I got this game were exploding planets and an Interstellar Recession. And an Influence Boom years after I had no use for it. I'll try the Frequent setting next game to see whether I see more events. I am almost tempted to wonder whether Evil Alignment gets fewer or worse events. I usually play Neutral. Almost forgot: There is a considerably more specific writeup in the War Council

@ KP: I did, indeed! @CL: I get almost all of my planets in trade, and I use the planetary governor to carefully install a minimum number of structures. I took the advice from my other self, got a PhotoBucket account, made a screenie, uploaded same, and used the Insert/edit Image button. http://photobucket.com/ Here's something interesting. After I want hoplessly into debt from upgrading my cargp hulls to weapons-laden ships, I was still getting some very small Social and Military production. Next time, I'll have to see if I can use that in the strategy somehow.
