I'm using trainer, can this be a problem ?

When I'll try to colonize a toxicated planet, I'll get a note that i have to reaserch some technology , but I've already reaserch it...Then where is the problem ??? And if someone asked on this before, i'm sorry for "SPAMing" and please give me a link on the topic...
