Words from a Bosnian Survivalist
Translator’s note: This tale had originally been recorded in french and then translated by two Russian survivalists who met the man. I have read it at hyperprapor’s blog. The Bosnian is anonymous for reasons which will soon be made clear from reading the articles. ~~ MicroBalrog I am from Bosnia. You know, between 1992 and 1995 it was hell. For one year I lived, and survived, in a city with 6000 people, without water, elec
Quoting DaveChase, reply 18 First, Power Grid. You need to define it, in particular what actually goes out that requires 90 days to repair. And why anything not connected to the gird still works. Looting and vandalism were widespread, hitting 31 neighborhoods, including most poor neighborhoods in the city. Possibly the hardest hit were Crown Heights, where 75 stores on a five-block stretch were looted, and
General parameters For our purposes, let’s just assume that the power grid has been damaged by something that will take 90 days to repair. Cars still work. Anything that wasn’t connected to the grid still works (like gas generators). Let’s assume this whole thing happens in August -- that tends to be when the electrical grid is under the most stress anyway.
At the various space port taverns and bars, the word is that they are running from small blue creatures. These small blue creatures sing and dance and do both work and play at the same time. There has only been one female seen with them at any one time, but she is not the queen or leader. Not sure if it is needed, but I think a RW example is the PT boats of WW2. Light, small boats that mounted 2 torpedo's but a .50 cal could take them out. In game terms, it would have some weapons that could do some damage, with a long recharge time, but very little armor. Maybe less armor than the scout. Dave Chase

OK, but what about bastard childern, ie the ones that the Sovereign has with those that they are not married to? If you are going for the detail, might as well go for it. Then if there is anything like karma or good/bad this could could be one of the applications to determine which way your Sovereign moves. A bit like Galatic Civilizations when picking which out come you take on random events and some planet colonizations. Dave Chase

Though I am not playtesting, I have a question. Does anything different happen if you are playing a Female Character instead of a Male Character, in particular during pregancy? Stats change (+ or -), slower movment, miss a turn during child birth, other Kingdoms fear you more, does your ability to use essense/cast magic change (+ or -) etc What if you are playing one of the non human races that lay eggs or have liters? Do you have many childern at the

After the update made available for MoM, it was completely awesome to play. The only thing that could be said to be negative for those of us that played was the lack of multi-player capacity. What we did instead was to have everyone gather around one computer and generate a wizard and world that we all agreed with. Save the game and make copies of that saved game. Then everyone would have one week to play that saved game and we would see had the best score
