im geussing you need to update to 1.12?
Kruppe
True but not the worst, replicate is deffo worse and a few other are kinda meh aswell, that said 1! needs by definition to be the worst and even if that is CB, advent as a whole seems to be on par. And tbh not being reliant on 1 caps ships lvl 6 abillity is a good thing imo diversity> marza spamming imo
when you engage in battle remember 2 things 1- Focus fire 2- Target selection-> if there is *fleet killing* stuff around kill htat first (things like a lvl 6 marza cap ship) then kill repair/suport ships -> then take out dps and remember phazejump inhibitors, killing of a retreating fleet and launching an ista attack should give you time to get 1 planet, rinse and repeat and remember to play to your races stron
Vary, it tries so hard. and it got so far, but in the end it dossent really matter... -not launcing strikecraft on the move -not grapping exstaktors on UCGW's -Not killing constuktors when invading -not focusfireing -taking forever to recolonize destroyed worlds(i've had it not recolonize a world 3 jumps into it's territory for 1½hours, sad) makes it far less of a challenge than it should be but thats ok for now, the games
hmm im pretty sure this was resolved for someone else, can't remember the post name tho' what options do you have to tranfer data on to your desktop? cd. usb, netcard etc etc that may help us find a solution
I find that Repair facilities die first and then construction ships shortly after.
as long as you have atleast 1 repairbay up it seems like construters are never targets for the AI, it's a little silly but if you have the econ for it it works amazingly well, i think me record was beating an 1800 supply fleet using only defences(unfair AI) -- if there are free tac logictis it should kill them as 1'st prio(atleast for stikecraft) but it dossent!
if you start up impulse you will see a white and blue S icon in the top left corner. Rightclik it and choose regiter a produckt. i hope that does the trixz
Hmm I really like the bonus to taskforces, but implementing it to benefit from more than 1 superfleet seems hard. - if more than 2 guradians. taskforce recives +10% shield regen - Still does not counter 1 fleet mentality - if X% of fleet is gurdians, taskforce recives +10% shield regen - Still does not counter 1 fleet mentality that siad, i still love the concept and would love to see stuff like this implemented, even better if someone cou
AI and stars are a baaaad mix for the AI, for some reason it dossent launch it's strikecraft when it's moving throu gravwells that can be exploited(a bit bad spotmanship) be placing a number of carriers in your suns gravwell(remember you will face no fighters here and the carriers will NOT be targeted so go all bombers) if you at the same time build up your border worlds like Xylan sugested you will have pretty much secured that solarsystem. if you are still finding it
Starhound, plz explain how you get 2 lvl 6 caps before being able to do CB + Malice? you need 1 lvl 6 and 1 lvl 1(well most likely a bit higher to give it shield restore aswell but still, point stands. I'm not saying it is on par with missile barrage or anything but why should it be?. Tec needs to use the highest % of fleet supply on suportships so fleet vs fleet their dps will be lover and GL getting 2 marzas from 1 side of a gravwell to the other vs radience + mothership (shield rep
This would also make flanking very important; as if an opponent's fleet is taking heavy damage from mainly the front, having a small group of your fleet loop to the side would cause greater damage b/c of the mitigation being lowered there.
This
On terms of balance, how far should we go? Are we trying to go overboard an make a eternal war by debuffing the "winning side"? I think not.
Nono ofc not, but as it stands a 12plant epire vs an 8planet empire will be a no contest, to get to 12 vs 8 from 10 vs 10 would imply that the greater empire is controlled by the better player... keeping their production on ~same lvl would mean that there is still a small chance for the under dog istead of the current... arghh los
Vasaaaaari phone homeeeee.... new sound file for activating RA
I was a bit vague in my previous post. I wasn't talking about gameplay-wise slow, but grapically. My computer already has some problems with my occasional Illuminator spam. I'm afraid that it'll start to lag heavily when I'm going to build such a starbase.
ahh my bad then, internet talk is bad:) well, all computers ends up that way, not really much to do about it, unless you have lots of $$ to bribe the dev's with, and if you do wel
I always use it in fleet battles with Malice. It does a lot of damage with level 3 Malice.
in that case, animosity + vengence is a better combo imo.
That is going to be very, very awesome indeed. I'm concerned though, that it will slow the game even further. However, that's a discussion for an other thread.
I really don't get that point of view on a 4X game, the extreame opposite was the old rts read alert2, in the end it was just a rush war and the top 10% of the players never had games that lasted more than 5-10min, how is that fun? And that was just an rts, this is a 4x game and have much m
I don't want to derail the thread, but I haven't exactly seen, read or heard much about Entrenchment yet. How will the expansion change this?
Think Death Star defence platforms
It's Sin's or SoaSE remember when you first colonize a world / astroid you are loosing mony each second. upgeade planet infrastructure ASAP to begin with, building repair bays will make it muuuuch easier to defend Keep scouting, knowing what forces you will be facing is ½way to winning
Well as the Rebels have maneged to get shilds onto fighters they prolly have the most advanced shield tec i would geuss(allowing shield upgards to strikecraft at medium/high lvl) The empire seems to like big things with lots of pewpew imo, that would translate into more weapon reshearch( RoF and counters to armor > dps) and stuff like the interdictor cruiser to kepp stuff in place long enough to kieel.
Advent get the best strikecrafts??
Advent carriers are a tiny bit better than tec / vasari Vasari has the best FRM and tec has the best repairship as the most prominet diffrence
Hoshiko(TM) occasionally chase things around the gravwell while your ships are destroyed.
Autoatack is a wonderfull abillity to turn OFF on repair cruisers [e digicons]:w00t:[/e] btw just imagine what a *domination* abillity could do to argument the imba shield tecnology of the advent i wish they would implement it................
well im not saying can't be done or impossible to manage... but more button = less user friendliness. If it was just for my personal enjoyment there would be 1000042 :) but alas the game is for everyone and everyone sadly includes tards.
it's pretty even tbh, but i thought i'd suggest a strat that diddent involve just spamming something. doing that makes you a sitting duck for ppl with a clue most times.
Vasari needs that supply increase because their ships take up so much supply. TEC gets to buy a discount on the cost of higher supply caps. They don't suffer as much of a penalty for maintaining higher supply levels with that technology (can't remember what it is called, and not near an install to check.) Also, when you combine that with Industrial Juggernaught and Pervasive Economy, and cheap rapidly build frigate factories, you can rapidly set up border worlds with factories and s
get 3 caps ... radience - mothership - rapture learn to use them: animosity -> vengance -> malice -> shield restore will decimate an AI controlled fleet to known them is to love them. ad 4 light frigs (AM restore abillity is win) 6 guardians 8 repair cruisers then add enough carriers to make sure you have atleast some fighter in the sky at all times ( ~10 carriers s
