what about the bug that makes the windows default cursor disappear? When does that occur for you?
randomly. which is even worse now that cursorFX cursors disappear, so then there is no windows cursor to see either, and it's invisible. it's only the normal cursor, if i hover over a link or something, that shows up. all other cursor except the main are still there, this was also a bug with CursorXP Plus
it seems to start for me when i use remote desktop. it also might be my environment using 2 monitors. for instance, i would have a remote desktop connection open on the right monitor, then when i move the mouse to the left, the cursor is gone, not to be seen, but i can click on things, and sometimes it comes back for a few secs here and there. if i reboot, all is good, until i repeat the process.
ok, i removed it, reinstalled it, seemed to work fine for a bit. it seems things start disappearing when using Remote Desktop. maybe support can look into this
yea, i read it, and posted on it, i know, it's just hard when a new version made for vista, seems to work worse than cursorxp. i know it will work, it's just annoying to me right now lol
actually, cursor XP has never been installed on this box, just replaced my desktop recently, also, it's not like i'm the only 1 reporting these issues, but they do make the program unusable for the most part. i know it's not everyone, and i've offered to test internal builds since i have this issue when it was offered, but never heard back.
with all the outstanding issues, i'm sort of confused. i like cursorFX, but ever since i bought it and upgraded from cursorXP, i have to keep it disabled with all the cursor disappearing issues, the cursorfx cursors and the windows cursor, so basically, half the time i can't see anything
what about the bug that makes the windows default cursor disappear?
Please give the latest build a shot with the returning to the Windows default cursor issue. Let us know if you still see the same issue or if it has been resolved for you. Thanks.
definately not resolved. i goto mouse/pointer and the default windows default cursor is gone, i reset it, turn on cursorfx, and it's gone again within minutes. and since cursor FX cursors tend to turn them selves off for no reason from time to time, makes it really difficult to us
Stardock shouel release WindowsFX for Vista when it's ready. Releasign it any earlier would cause more problems than it would solve. Look at Vista . . I think more people wish now that MS would have held out releasing it until it was more done.
WHAT!? vis
like sometimes the original windows cursor is gone if u revert back, and u can't use the switch between windows icon either, it disables cursor fx?
i went ahead and tested on another PC, same problem with this new update.
this happened to me, right after the recent up. i've never had this happen ever before with cursorxp or cursorfx.
honestly, it's happened on various hardware, and i just setup a new desktop pc to replace my old 1 this week, so far it's not happening. u can force it though, lets say u go into the user\downloads folder, and delete the hidden desktop.ini file, then that folder will no longer work, it will only change to the standard folder. sometimes u can fix it by getting a good desktop.ini file, but it always just seems to eventually stop working, regardless if the ini is there or not. so hit me up in th
ok, i've done that. but anyone have any ideas on a workaround or fix when this happens?
mostly, the new folders under your user account folder. like, downloads, contacts, links and so forth. this always happens eventually. after a clean format, they work all the time. then at some point, this time after i applied the pirate set that i bought, some of the icons wouldn't change when i updated to any other theme. then i change the icon back to the default windows icons manually, since IP couldn't do it, not by rebuilding or repair, even setting to windows default kept it as pirat
ok, it's been sent
yes, same issue
no, i mean it doesn't fix the cursor disappearing on ctrl-shift-v or ctrl-alt-del did the same thing with cursorxp plus, but i didn't say anything, since it wasn't for vista
it doesn't fix the problem for me, still disappearing cursor when i use ctrl-shift-v, or ctrl-alt-del in vista ultimate.
ok, ive gone and done that
yes, it disables cursorFX, but i can't see the standard cursor, other cursors are there, as i can seem them when hoving over links and stuff, but for the most part i'm flying blind. any ideas? thanks
the switch between windows icon, next to show desktop icon, in the quick launch area. they are the 2 default icons on a vista install. so yes, the same as windows-tab. if u have cursorxp or cursorFx installed, when u do this, the cursor vanishes, so your then making selections blind
