And with nearly all other games you get patches whether or not you bought a new or used copy. Wake up. Valve uses excessive DRM. They could, if they wanted to, disable every single Steam game in existence.
In regards to your first point, while true to an extent, this is Stardock's method of discouraging piracy of their products. You buy a retail copy brand new, you get the code, and you get the support of the patches once y

I actually just won my first game ever a few minutes..Maybe an hour ago. I hop from game to game, so I lose track of time. Anyway, I tried to take out all the Pirates one last time before finishing off my enemy, that didn't work at all. Then again, I only had..2..3..4..2 or 4 Capital Ships, something around that number, and mainly the basic forces. Ex. Light Frigates, Hoshiko Robotic Crusiers, Pencheron Light Carriers, the J something V Frigates, and that sort of thing. Loved taking o
How often do you guys utilize the pirates to attack the enemy? I've finally had a chance to start playing this game a bit more, and I find it extremely useful to raise the bounty on my enemy when they're about to go on a full-out siege of one of my planets. They stick around for a bit in the gravity well as they charge up the phase jump, but otherwise they normally retreat. Add in Phase Jump Inhibitors, and take a chunk of their forces out as they try to retreat and it's all the more satisfyi

Thus leading to the predicament he encountered.
I've never had the pleasure of interacting with Stardock, but if you were having trouble there are two convenient things you could have looked for. Contact us page. Support Section. So..Yeah, there's the contact method, and that support people keep on blathering about here. Right then, d
You're right. Spore itself is fine. It's EA's methods associated with DRM and SecuROM and how long they've been mistreating their customers. It's all been culminating to the bursting point, which is obviously now.
Er..Spartan, what's the deal with the..larger portion of your post? Anyway, I'm considering buying a copy of Sins of a Solar Empire instead of Spore. I've also coated nearly half of the forums, including subforums, for EA's games with threads containing the Gamer's Bill of Rights. I'm suspecting I'll be banned, but perhaps, by some lucky chance, the idea will be conveyed. Long live Stardock!
It's certainly ironic that you raise this point after a bit of conversation on the EA forums. As I came here just to see if I could see any complaints or bits about the Bill of Rights. I think you're right, that certain ones are too general, and certain ones are too specific. However, I think that while this should be brought to light for Stardock to see, I think we should leave it in their hands to revise it. Suggestions are fine, of course, but the final decision should be theirs to
