Hello? Anyone?

I am trying to use my instant mesenger service (Trillian, but I've also tried this with AIM). I can add the icon to the objectdock to launch the messenger program, but then the program never shows up. In my task manager, it shows that it is, indeed, running. My co-worker said that this was because I had my regular taskbar hidden. When I unhide the taskbar, I can load the instant messenger just fine. But the whole point of me using the objectdock was to eliminate the need for the regul
