Cool, can I get an email when this occurs? I'd prefer not to check these forums daily as I'm rather busy this month.

Sorry if this has been discussed but a cursory search did not bring it up. When will the upgrade from the digital download pre-order to the retail box pre-order be available as promised. As some others may have done, I chose the digital version in august before becoming aware that the retail version would also grant digital download access, and that it was a collectors edition. I expected an email on the subject by now to be honest. Perhaps I accidentally deleted it al
Will not launch after update. Verified install. Recently installed a Logitech quickpro 9000. Any advice?
just encountered this again. Also, when I had an area effect ability out the message popped up and my mouse disapeared. I was stuck even after being killed.
1v1 against AI. Was almost lvl 20. Playing Oak and had summoned several minions. Game crashed without so much as an error message. Have not been able to repeat this.
ditto.
Deleting preferences worked.
tried that. Thanks for the attempt. I intend to try deleting my preference file. It occurs to me that 1200 pixels is larger than 1080, perhaps this is why it will not launch.
System runs demigod great on my old CRT at 1600 x 1200. Demigod refuses to run demigod at all on my brand new samsung HD moniter at 1920 x 1080. Unable to start. Unable to create Direct 3d. Please ensure system has latest video drives. I have dx9.0c What gives?
As stated before, I am also waiting for the Devs to comment on this. Until that happens, this thread is only speculation.
Naturally any "dice" system would translate into percentage chances in a game like demigod. Those are easy enough to understand. I was simply noting Epic rpg as an example of how damage might be handled.
I was recently playing Epic rpg, which if you are not familiar handles damage scaling in an elegant way. In the case of Spells for instance, everything is calculated with your bonuses stacked onto a roll of 2d10. This is called the "Decision Roll" which determines your PDL (per difficulty level). If a spell does 1d10 damage PDL, and I roll a 12 + 4 = 16, this puts my damage at DL3, or in this case, 3d10. DL1 is 5 or better on the decision roll, DL2 is 10 or better, etc

Once again Mooglepies speaks for me and most of the community I should think, with some well reasoned and practical solutions. Can't we just fly him to the studio for a sit-down with Tyo? [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Welcome to Demigod! I am more of a slower strategic gamer, but it looks like demigod might have a little something for all of us.
drivers?
While I agree with MUCH of what is being said here, a part of me wonders how unlikely any of this is to be implemented, since the game is so far beyond its conceptual stages and into production. I wish this discussion had been possible 6 months ago. That being said, if some of these ideas came about, perhaps there could be 10 demigods: 4 assassins, 4 generals, and 2 hybrid characters (Erebus and Oak).
/signed. I agree entirely with Lambdaman. Active demigod use should be required to win the game, not just $15,000 well spent gold, and a few strategic flag captures.
A side note to this: A similar bug/annoyance occurs when attempting to purchase a demigod ability when that ability's icon is hovering overtop the citadel or a shop. The results are not as hindering as those described by landisaurus, but could be troublesome in competitive play.
nb = nota bene? If so I'm glad we could be of some help. My hurting wallet feels the pain of X800 users.
I finally went and upgraded my video card, mostly to play Mechwarrior Living Legends (a Crysis Mod). Currently using HIS 3850 ICEQ3 AGP. My aforementioned system now runs Demigod smoothly at 1600 x 1200 on high. This system also runs the Crysis Demo at 1280 x 1024 on high with barely a hitch (turning a few settings to medium makes it run perfect) The only downside is I feel that I may have failed you a bit as a beta tester. Until I replaced the card, I had no
Thanks for all the response, good to have some others giving the problem some thought. I also have a feeling that xp 64 may be the culprit here. In truth, its definately time for a reformat at the very least. Even if this ol' girl gets relegated to a render workhorse. Worth a shot, who knows, might cause the current build of demigod to work... [e digicons][/e]
yeah, I'm now considering just spending $600 every two years henceforth.
Gentlemen, I did NOT buy cheap. I built that system about 4 years ago, jsut before PCI-E came out. Paid about $1600 total. I wanted a Gaming machine that could also handle video and 3d rendering on a budget. The machine runs Oblivion on highest settings, World in Conflict on Medium settings over 30fps, Supcom on Highest settings without a hitch. Still handles 3d rendering at lightening speeds for its age. It has served me well, I'm just trying to ee
Thanks, will do. I'm well aware that there's little you guys can do about it at this stage. Didn't mean to get nasty about it, just thought I might bring more attention to the subject.
