Hey Boogie, since you seem to be the man in charge of art and graphics, can I make a couple of small requests for FE? Please improve the available postures on the unit cards. Many of the current postures in WoM are extremely awkward. Please increase the polygon count on characters where / when possible - Especially the faces! Looking forward to future updates!

I have to do AI work on v1.3 because for FE I'm planning to handle the AI design for the tactical battles directly and it's better to "learn" the tactical battle AI code in WOM than FE. I just got back from Disney World with the family and we recently got a puppy (http://draginol.joeuser.com/article/408349/The_life_of_Bailey_8_weeks). I normally only get to do fun stuff like AI work in my o
Don't get me wrong, Brad seems to do a very solid job running the company, and his dedication to making things right is almost superhuman at this point (I know I'd have told all us histrionic whiners to piss off after the first few months if I were in his shoes), but he needs to let go and find a strong AI coder other than himself.
A few AI programmers. Yes. I've felt this for a while. I completely understand Brad

I'll say this as nicely as a I can. It does not matter (regarding WoM, but true for FE too) how much you improve the engine, or polish the interface or add content or anything else if the AI REMAINS COMPLETELY BRAIN DEAD. This game, at it's core is a single player game. Well guess what happens when there is no AI worth playing against: there is no point in playing the game.
Looks interesting. In what sense is it supposed to be sandbox? From what I read on the blog the current version consists of a few missions. Is their eventually going to be open world play in the style of Space Rangers 2 or Freelancer?
They're aiming to provide an open universe where you can interact with different planets and groups of people. You'll be able to upgrade your ship, build up a fleet, trade and more. <p

1.2 feels a bit more stable and polished (I've never had stability problems really). The biggest issues right now are: AI: I actually almost ( ) got attacked. Some enemy units came close to one of my cities then ran away. So far away... Pacing: am I imagining things or do buildings take far longer to build now? First time playing as an empire race however so may

Just recently heard about Starfarer, a promising looking indie game that is in alpha right now and available for only 10$ (50% off). Here is a link to their site: http://fractalsoftworks.com/media/ Video of the one of the missions that comes with the current alpha build:

Derek, something I've noticed with 1.2: There seems to be a serious inconsistency with the tooltips and popups. Some are failing to show up, others are failing to go away.

Something terrible has happened to the tooltips since 1.1 Unit cards and such are staying up even when the mouse is no longer hovered over top of the relative unit. Tooltips are failing to be displayed when hovered over the top resource bar, tooltips are failing to be displayed over the build button on improvements (they used to say which techs were needed).
