Thanks Neil...apparently there were duplicate files under the users (even though I don't have user accounts set up). It worked out for me. Thanks for your help and suggestions everyone!
Yup...Tried running a reg cleaner, tried setting back to default settings prior to uninstalling, rebooted several times and also deleted what I could locate in the reg. Incidentally, I had never actually run the program on this PC, just installed it. Deleted everything hoping that would get rid of the error....but alas, it has not and I still can't run upgrade.
I have completely uninstalled Object Desktop, Impluse and all the other Stardock programs, including Windows Blinds from my machine that is running Windows Ultimate Vista 32 bit. I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, and can't as I continue to get the following error: Uninstall these programs. Open Control Panel and search for "uninstall a program". <span
