no go elemental does not appear in programs and features

ok, lot of bad crap happend all at once here so....(takes deep breath) when I try to install elemental it goes through the entire install proccess, once its finished it hits a fatal error and closes, but I find the program has indeed installed so I have no idea what error it's hittting when I play the game it wants me to update to 1.11 but when I try I get to my next problem: impulse crashes after loggin, don't know why but it comes up with a window thats says "impulse
