Try forwarding your ports, and if that fails, enable DMZ. Make sure you have a good firewall though.

I think you should make two ladders: pubs and premades. Also make/split the pantheon in these two groups. Then remove the custom games ladder because it just doesn't make any sense to give exp for games that are not consistent. Settings can vary a lot in custom games so the ranks would give a skewed view. I also don't understand why the pantheon isn't continous, it just doesn't make any sense. This is kinda like how it worked in Supreme Commander, and it was great.

More like GPG doesn't see any money in adding any UI, so they don't care.[/quote]Adding proper community support will extend the replayability and overall customer satisfaction. They wouldn't leave this out on purpose, even after considering the costs. If they don't have the resources to impleme

I love the game, and the developers, but one thing worries me. There's no realtime community. I join a game, play with some people, and never speak with them again after the game. That's not right, especially because this game is multiplayer oriented. I played supreme commander for a long time, and part of what kept me playing was the integrated chatroom. I really miss that in DG. Do not mistake this post for a "bring GPGnet back" post. One way to do with would be to enter the

It should be the same as in Supreme Commander. Pantheon counts as ranked and gives you exp, achievements and everything official. And custom games don't count. This makes the most sense and is also the fairest because not every custom game uses the same settings, wich gives skewed results.

I'm glad to hear that both parties acknowledge that modding is crucial for long-term succes. A great way to make use of their work would be to release a mad editor, demigod editor etc for free, and let them fiddle some. That's a nearly a million potential "developers" for free for demigod. And once in a while Stardock/GPG could pick one some popular/succesful maps and make them official i.e. including them in the official builds. This will hopefully save some of the budget to implemen

This is very good news but IF you make it use a proxy by default please add a command line parameter like /trydirectconnect for the people that DO know what they're doing. It will speed up the connection as well as decrease the amount of stress on the proxies.
