I wanted to win once with alliances, but after researching it, i didn't found it as an option while i was discussing with the other empires (especially the ones i was on friendly terms with) what should i do? thanks

These are good and honest reviews. They really tried to be objective and, well, each one has his own opinion about the game and this is good. As a chess, i am pretty sure i will like Galactic Civilization. But as Brad said many times, those 2 games are very different and may appeal to different kind of people.

I plan to order the game here next week. As i am not a huge download fan cos of a very low connection, could it be possible to add a simple cdrom containing the bonus pack with the original game...

This may well be a very good chance for GalCiv to become a hit. I think that a lot of people are going to be frustrated by MOO3 as it seems very hard to get into it. Thus they may rush on another game to calm all the expectations they have had over the last 3 years...thus GalCiv could become a surprise big seller!

I like the idea...one thing i always wanted to see in a game like this, is a living universe. There is no such thing as one empire ruling the others for ever. The Romans tried and finally failed. Nobody dared to fight them for centuries but in the end, the empire fall apart from within (mainly). And this is true for Mesopotamia, the Perse, the Egyptians and so much more. However there are always new empires, new countries rising after. Actually, i think that a very good strategy game should neve

I have been expecting MOO3 for 1 year and half...I have been playing MOO1 and MOO2 for years (still do) and these are the best space games i've played so far. I did have some doubts about MOO3 since the first cut list was announced and it's clear that i am not looking forward to it as i did back then. I still plan to buy it when it comes out, but i am not sure if i like it more than MOO2...Anyway, now more than ever, it's Galactic Civilizations that i am looking forward to. Better graphics, more

Diplomatic help: Say the planet of another races has been devastated by a disaster. We should be able to offer food, medical supply or buildings (if accepted) to this planet. This would help the relations.

I really don't understand the discussion here. There shouldn't be any concurrence among those 2 products. These are different games with different goals (tech conquest and so on) 1. Graphics for a game are not that important (i still play Reach For the Stars, MOO and CIV2). In strategy games, the most important is the gameplay. And i am pretty sure that MOO3 and GalCiv do have a very good one. 2. If MOO3 was called Galaxy Conquest or else, i'd be looking for it with the same intere

I really think that MOO3 will be much better than CIV3. MOO was the first game i bought and have been a fan since then. I will buy both games and here's why: - first i love space strategy games and space fiction/movies. :D . Just can't have enough of it. - MOO3 is the empire based game per se. Great Diplomacy. - GalCiv has all these events, great Diplomacy, nice UI, Inner Politics and more. Furthermore it doesn't have starlanes (i am not sure i am gonna like those in MOO3)

Me neither...apart if you're an Elerian ;) . But this is another game: you need spies to know what the other races have. And if you find it too difficult then, you can lower the setting. This will make the game last longer (as the difficulty increases we'll need more time to master the difficult settings. :)
