if possible you shoud see if your catalyst software control pannel has an option to allow software to take controll of your input devices (your mouse and/or joystick) and if so allow it to do so i have an Nvidia 8800gtx and actually ran into the same problem with vista 32bit untill i found that my forceware controll pannnel had the settings for my mouse locked into hardware acceleration at all times which i thought would of been better but as soon as i disabled that option my pointer in

hmm not saying that this will fix your problem if its still occuring but you should check and see if when you uninstall it also deletes the old registry for Demigod and if not manually delete it cause if not i think it might think that your game is actually up to date...but thats just a guess
