I think that your experience with the newbie Rook is just that Rook is newbie friedly and takes a skilled player to effectively counter. However, in a battle with all skilled players I don't find Rook to be that overpowered. In fact, I don't think any single Demigod is overpowered, though I do think there are a handful of Demigod combos that don't have any reasonable counter to them do to overpowered synergy.

Same for minion count for generals. I would like to be able to know if I should spawn more minions (skill based or idol based).
It would be nice if there was a Digital Download CE. I hate boxed copies of games and I hate having useless junk lying around from CE editions of games. However, I don't mind having useless junk on my computer or in my game. :)
Wait, you are able to re-map those keys? Those keys are all un-bindable for me.
As in, Microsoft Windows?
Microsoft's Windows OS is a good example, no matter how much they try and push their OS on people, they can't stamp out the competition (Linux, MacOS, etc.). Because MS has not created the perfect product for the perfect price those competators will stick around. As soon as MS figures out how to make the perfect product and they sell it at the perfect price then MacOS and Linus will fade away (unlikely to occur).
Does it of
So olive presses, telephone, US steel, railroads, oil, diamonds, software, grain, monopolies were all caused by governments... and you never said anything about a time period limitations, monopolies happen. They just do.
Monopolies *can* occur in a truely free market but only if the company with the monopoly offers the highest quality and lowest cost services possible. If that is the case then it's not a problem. If that is not the case and the market
I was in two Conquest (all defaults) custom games where on the loading screen [no text] was shown instead of "Conquest". In both cases the loading screen never went away and exiting the game (windowed mode X) caused it to lock up and require a process kill. In the second game (second image) you can see that the game UI is overlayed on top of the loading screen, none of it was interactable though. http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1135/notextgametype.jpg http://
The reason they do it like this is because most users burst, they don't sustain, bandwidth. The average user hits a website and wants to get that website very quickly. This means they want a very high throughput but once they have the website they won't do much at all on the connection again for another 5 minutes while they read that site. Then when they click a link they want to burst again. Assuming all users did that, then there wouldn't be too much trouble since
In a lockstep peer-to-peer game hacking usually comes in the form of fog of war removal and see invisible. Currently, the only invisible things are land mines and being able to see them isn't that big of an advantage. Being able to see the whole map is going to be the primary hack for the game I think which may lead to people just playing with the fog of war turned off.
He is saying that 20% of 15k is 3000 health, which is what he got.
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/3441/nofavor.jpg Notice that I don't have enough favor for any items and I also don't have any items purchased (same for general tab). I have played many games, mostly pantheon, since the wipe and gained a lot of favor and purchased several items. Then when playing a custom game I didn't even have enough for a single item and all that I bought was gone.
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6663/flagrolloverdataerror.jpg Notice that when mousing over the flag (in the fog) it says ROLLOVER DATA ERROR.
The game UI freezes for a few seconds when you navigate the multiplayer menus such as clicking on Pantheon or "Multiplayer" or "Custom Games" or "Refresh" (custom games). I'm worried that it's doing some kind of blocking connection which means if a server is down the game will lock up completely at those points. Preferable would be a non-blocking connection of some kind with a dialog that you could cancel instead, so the UI didn't feel so choppy when navigating.
I thought it was ranking as well until I played a match against 2AI + Player, won, and then played a match with 2AI on me team against 1 player... the same player as in the previous game. Unless the system thought he was better than me (I have an undefeated record) the first game and then dropped his ranking down significantly after I won to cause him to be handicapped the second game then something is broken.
Unfortunately, the AI can be that stupid sometimes, and brand new players can be just as bad.
Player 1 create a custom game. Wait until it shows up in the game list for player 2. Player 1 cancel the game. Player 2 try to join the game. Player 2 will get the connection dialog indefinately, even though the game isn't up anymore. Same thing happens when the game starts (instead of cancelled).
http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/2870/0healthalive.jpg As you can see in the screenshot, the selected creep has 0 health but he is still attacking. Attacking him did finish the job so I'm guessing he had 0.1 health or something, but this should be rounded up for display to the user.
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/7233/blankconnection.jpg When joining a Pantheon game, after the dialog says please wait for a while it will go blank (as in the picture) for a short bit (10 seconds maybe) before the game starts.
This happens to me so many times its not funny anymore: I get a DG down to 10% hp and then he/she teleports away. As far as I know there is no anti-teleport item or skills, so how do you counter it apart from stuns and supernukes?
Stuns interupt all spells (including teleport), even 0 second ones. The demigods without a stun are Regulus and Queen of Thorns. Everyone else has one or more ways to stop a teleport.
At the end of the match, just after the scoreboard appears, my game client locks up for 10-20 seconds. After the lockup is over I regain control of my UI and can navigate between the scoreboard tabs and use the main menu button.
I just tried to join a game and it appears the game started just as I was doing the connection dance (custom game). Now I'm stuck at an empty screen (all I can see is the background image and the window border). It appears my only way out is to exit Demigod.
I'm getting this now as well.
That's like saying "You'll attract air.". The socialists are all around us all the time now. You can't escape them.
Free market principles only work when there is free market competition. That doesn't apply with monopolies.
In a truely free market monopolies are not a problem. Unfortunately, we haven't seen anything close to a real free market since before the Great Depression in the United States. Currently, due to massive government regulations on everything and high taxes the barrier to entry into most markets is prohibitively high.
No problem for me. Didn´t touch this for weeks.
Uh yeah... me either...
